I have my CPU, GPU and PC3200 DDR all OC'd. The first thing to do is a lot of research.
Is your CPU, graphics card (and memory-if you want to OC it) a type that is capable of a stable OC? Some types of chips work well and others don't. For example, my P4 2.4C is one of the kings of Intel overclocking. Thats why I got it. My previous CPU, a PIII 1.5 was a poor overclocker. Second thing to check. does your mobo and graphics card come with a dedicated OC program. My ASUS P4P800DX has a OC utility that makes changing core clock speeds a snap. The same is true of my Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro.
Start with those questions and do a Google on overclocking. Be sure that you understand the process, your haedware supports a stable OC and then, if you choose to do so, make changes in small increments. Lastly, be sure you know how to reset the jumpers on your mobo if you over do it and lock up your system. This is a potentially risky thing that can achieve great improvements in your comps performance or can fry your CPU & GPU.
Don't do ANYTHING until you feel confident in what to do correctly and how to UNDO a mistake.
Good Luck!
