Aiight Darwin, I got a bone to pick wit you bub! Saying MotoGP2 is equivalent to MotoGP1.5 is enough to have your XBOT membership revoked!!!!
I go so far as to say MotoGP2 is the greatest game on XBOX, and one of the greatest games of all time! Even better than Halo. I log countless hours on MotoGP2 and still can't enough, yet Halo is just a distant memory, despite its tremendous multiplayer value. But, back to the specifics of your claim. You say that MotoGP2 doesn't offer enough to really warrant being a two, if we are going to hold SC2 to such a high standard. Some people say the same about DOA3 and DOA2. I'll briefly say in DOA3, ALL THE LEVELS were brand new and each one of the affected gameplay, they weren't just eye candy like SC2. Also, the graphics were dramatically improved over the DC DOA2, unlike SC2 where the graphics are just polished.
But back to MotoGP2. The most significant change that by itself warrants MGP2 being a two is the bikes. The addition of the 1000cc bikes is just so incredible and really makes this game worthy of being a sequel and not a polished port. Imagine MGP2 without the big bikes? It would be a completely different game. And u know this is not just trivial or as simple as creating a fighter like Charade in SC2 and endowing him with weapons from the old fighters, that kinda stuff is just filler garbage. The 1000cc bikes ride and handle completely different than the 500cc bikes.
But, they didn't stop there, they added new tracks. Motegi, Estoril, Rio, Sepang, this is great stuff, and Motegi and Sepang are two of the better tracks in the game. So that is about 1/4th new tracks. I think 1/4th new tracks and 1/2 new bikes, is truly worthy of being called a sequel. That is more than you get in a Madden or Sega Football franchise year over year. But, did they stop there, nooooooo. How about the arcade mode and stunts and tricks, something i've never even done or played, yet its there for those who want it. And one of the most coolest features is the ability to customize your bike, this is sweet. And finally add in the most useful upgrade true LIVE compatiability, and this is a game I would happily pay $100 for. Its a steal.
Now, I think you've offended a lot of XBOTS, including your own TEAMMATE Glocky, lol. Ohh do I sense controversy heating up on the MUFFler Kings :D This ain't high school, but I know chemistry is an important part of being on a team. Oh and how did the whole PINK bike thing go over with Glocky?
And for the record, PS2 sucks, they don't even have a REAL motogp game, lol!
