They're throwing a party for it while a Village People coverband plays for the crowd.
Seriously, It's on Fileplanet (not exclusive, surprisingly) and seems to have plenty of servers dedicated to it so nonsubscribers can get it fairly quickly. I'll track down some more links on other sites and update if I manage to find any.
Edit: Aight, here we go..list o servers.

Yawn. I dunno, the 3D world would be better explored in the First Person... IMO. Maybe now they have the option to jump into any ship, but I somehow doubt it. The first game was okay to fiddle around with, but I didn't play it too extensively; if I couldn't take control directly in the FP of a ship, I would have preferred this turn-based..

The sequel fixes up alot of problems the original game had by making the controls alot more intuitive and the AI a good deal smarter. The simple addition of using the arrow keys to pan around makes the game so much less of a pain to play and the smarter units means you don't have to constantly babysit everything to get it to do what you want it to.
It's more like you're a general in this one instead of having to be the captain of every frigate and pilot for every fighter on the map. If you want something done you just study the situation, build what you need and send it on its merry way while you survey the battle and add reinforcements when needed. It's the way an RTS should be to tell the truth.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The ships don't wiggle around weirdly and remind me of watching an educational video on the reproductive system in health class anymore.

A huge problem i had with the Original HW is that it was SOOO HARD!!!
I don't even think i've ever met anyone that's beaten the game...
I don't think the last level was ever meant to be beaten.
I'm looking forward to this one. Im a sucker for [most] RTS games & especially enjoyed Cataclysm [HWs first sequel?]. Though it was nearly three years ago, I remember cranking up my VoDoo3000 & enjoying some of the best space sim graphics I had ever seen. The story line in Cataclysm kept me comming back to play more, hopefully it will be relative in HW2. Im optimistic about this RTS  , its been too long for this genre to release anything above average [last average RTS for me was Stronghold series]
