I just upgraded my ram from 256 to 512, and now when I try to play some higher end games, they crash soon after startup. It is a total system crash, and i have to turn the computer off. The system does regester the ram, and the strange thin is that I can play Star Wars, Knights of the old Republic (my most taxing game), and not Unreal 2004 or MVP baseball. I dont understand it.
Im going to download the newest video drivers, but any other suggestions would be helpful.

I think the problem is that you're using a Microsoft operating system.

;)

I suggest you take back your RAM to the store in exchange for some by a different manufacturer.

Any brandname ram would do you good, namely Kingston, Kingmax, Mushkin, or if you're a big spender, Corsair.

That is if you can still find those brands in non-DDR flavor nowadays.
