Advance Wars -- Advance Wars Under Fire
According to Nintendojo, it even has a Sept release date already. If this is as addictive and well designed as its hand-held relatives, it will be another great game in the GC library this fall.

I'm *quite* excited about this title. I'm still playing the original Advance Wars to this day, and if the Cube version has the same replay value, we'll have a real winner on our hands - ESPECIALLY if Nintendo makes it for online play.
From what I've heard, it adds more action to the gameplay - so I'm eagerly waiting for some previews/screenshots of what it's all about.

Those of you expecting a Strategy game like the GBA title will be disappointed as I hear that this title will be a third person shooter. I think Kuju is developing it. Will post the article when I find it.

It may still be a good game, but I'll be dissapointed. You are right. I was hoping for and expecting a strategy game that expanded on the original formula.

Well, who knows. I liked the trailer for it they showed at E3 and with Fire Emblem already doing the strategy RPG thing, this could actually broaden the GC library.
P.S. I've posted a link to the trailer on System Wars.

Gamespot called it "Pikmin-like action" which leads me to believe its third person shooter aspects are being incorporated into a hybrid action-RTS, rather than turn-based tactics like the GBA version. This could be great, because the turned-based tactics has been done already on the GBA. Hopefully what we'll see is a military RTS that actually works on a console. PC RTS just don't work on the console. And as much as I love pikmin, it'd be nice to see that basic action-RTS style play altered and expanded to work with other types of games. This advance wars game for me is the second biggest surprise behind the new Zelda.
