Which game would you be 'zapped' into?
Zap me into Morrowind : the Elder Scrolls III. My home would be the Neranu manor (without Neranu of course...just cast a spell or two and get rid of the elitist) in the city of Balmora, where I would house my collection of books, weapons, armor, blue candles, scrolls and other priceless items from my many quests and adventures...hmmmm nothing more satisfying than returing to the safety of your home after facing the many dangers on the island of VVanderfell and kicking back in the warmly lit downstairs room and reading your latest find in the The Wolf Queen series...

Raccoon City.
Just kidding! What, are you nuts?!?
No, I'm looking for a more peaceful and serene place than that. But there's just not a whole lot of places that I can think of like what I'm looking for in vg's - everything, and everyplace, has got problems and strife! And though I'd like someplace calm, I don't want it to be too boring (like Animal Crossing :p ). And then if I choose to go to a place and ignore the problems around me and sit idly by then the bad guys will take over, and then I'll really miserable! Hmmm....
Gonna have to think about this some more, I guess.

well, Glock, if you lived in Animal Crossing you'd never have to worry about death!
I'd probably say Star Control 2....that game was so frikkin big.

I choose Final Fantasy 7; to battle your way from the slums out of squalor to heroism in a fight to literally save the world/environment and yourself at the same time is classic in its appeal.
P.S The fact that I'm listening to midi files of the music(on an old SBlive) from the game greatly enhanced by a 32 meg soundfont designed for Final Fantasy 8 might be influencing my decision but I'm sticking with it.

Damn, i was going to mention FF7 too!!!
Alright, i'll choose FF3, arr, maybe it was 5 here, yeah, five i think from the SNES.
No question, Deus Ex. With all the augmentations & upgrades life would be secure, worry free..well sorta anyways. I'll have need for avenging the underdog & taking out a few dictators of the world just to keep my inhancements tuned. Not to mention Id have the opportunity to change the course of humanity.
Goood thread, I bet most gamers have thought of this to themselves [about living in a game environment].

Yeah DE would be a good choice. If the cash flow starts getting low, i could always hack an ATM... Whata life that would be.

I think living in Myst would get very lonely SBS!!!b Freelancer would be cool though with a huge world to explore (i havn't even touched the surface on all the places to see and i've played it over 40 hours this last week!).

I'd say DOA Beach Volleyball, but that's too predictable! :D I would probably want to be in an action/shooter like Vice City or Mafia ~ the environments, weapons and cars are so cool. Otherwise, a good FPS would be fun - it'd be like playing paintball, only with better surroundings and scarier enemies such as zombies, Nazis, enemies, etc. Kill Switch (http://www.killswitch.com/) is the one I have my eye on to get next. It looks like it would be great fun to be zapped into;

Flying to the moon in a Big Whale really is cool to me and the whole transition from Dark Knight to Paladin is great.
P.S I love the Tower of Babil theme!!!!! (listening to it now)

I have a list of videogames I'd like to live in:
- Unreal Tournament/Quake III Arena (Just grab a gun, be yourself and frag everybody else! Yep, that's the life)
- Midtown Madness 3 (In the real world, I have to face traffic but it this world, I could just run over almost anything!")
- Def Jam Vendetta (It'd be great to live in a world full of thugs and gangsta-wannabes....I'd love to beat all the other bad dogz down and get my dollaz)
- Splinter's Cell (Sneak up on people, massacre them before they even know it....what could be more fun than that?)

Or maybe Ninja Gaiden or Thief. I dunno, whichever one feels better.

So you're going to kill Renz eh? Tell me detective Fragmastar...how did you plan on finding him? Let's overlook the fact that you're freaking out over nothing, if you can't take a simple chiding or the occassional momma joke, then perhaps you'd be better off finding a forum tailored to your special needs....but we'll get back to that one another day....
Let me ask you a question...you come off like your some sort of thug or gansta-wannabe-whatever's-trendy-this-year....don't you realize that the "Your momma's so..." jokes originated very close to that group? How do you hope to contend when you can't even take a simple mom crack on a gaming forum?
Now I'm sure Renz is trembling with fear and now knows that death could be waiting for him at every turn. Death in the form of a loc'd out gansta thug...the real shizzle, fo' rizzle dawg.
I hate to burst your bubble, but nobody is going to take a threat on an INTERNET GAMING FORUM seriously. I'm sure where you come from, you're the baddest thug on the playground, but around here, that matters about as much as naval lint.
So get a sense of humor, some anger management therapy, and a membership to THUGZ ANONYMOUS, shake well, and serve.

LOL Well, actually... I had some guy threaten me once with kicking my head in... So I reported him first, gave my address to him second (in public on the boards), and third posted a pic he'd taken of himself at a LAN party on another board, under my address stating... "I know who you are... Anytime you wanna come a-knocking... just look for the Harley in the driveway little man!"
Well, needless to say, he didn't show, he got banned and now when I see him posting under a different name talking about LAN get-togethers... I always make a point of dropping by and telling the "new" poster that "HEY! That sound's like a plan... I'll have to drop by, and I'll bring a bunch of friends with me... You'll have lots of people there too right!?"
LOL Needless to say I think I spooked the spooker from the site, since I haven't seen the pencildick for ages!

Which game are you referring to? Hey, if I wanted to be a Knight Templar and doing that sort of Paladin sort of thing, which game would you recommend? One with loads of symbology and paganism and spirituality and quests, and so forth? Is there one like this?

yes, the Monkey Island series offered GREAT atmosphere...I miss those old point and click puzzlers. I know I can still make it through the original with my eyes closed!
Ohhh, that's a good question....
I think I'd have to say Oddworld (Abes Exxoddus to be specific)
1. You can posess your enemies.
2. You can fart.
3. You can posess your farts!
4. You can use the explosive toxens
of your fart to blow up your enemies!
:D What more could you ask for?!?!

Ahh... good wholesome fun... the very reason I post on these message boards and play videogames in the first place. Speaking of good wholesome videogames, I've lately gotten into an online game(i think its only for PC) called Gunbound. Its a turn based sidescrolling style missle launching game and it' a whole lotta fun. I hear it's basically the exact same thing as a game called Worms, but i havent checked into that yet.
Anyway, You should all give this a try, its pretty cool. The website is http://www.gunbound.net and its fee to dowload and play.
Although keeping on topic, it's not a game I would neccisarily want to live out, as I, like most, would not enjoy being repeatedly blown to hell by a barrage of bombs and "lasers"(austin powers refference, haha :p ).
Anyway, have fun everybody!
Peace

Its very cute! I think a lot of people are feeling that way as well as games like Horizons and Ultima X: Odyssey are pretty much PvE games and you don't have to get jumped unless you want to! I personally don't need combat at all to have fun in a game!
I would live in Freedom Force and have these powers:
Mind Control- Just for my womanizer hero
No need for sleep
and his alter ego is a computer game designer-

I read somewhere that Einstein slept for 20min every 2 hours, just think of all that gaming time during the night. lol
