Is it true, will Deus Ex 2 go gold 10/30/03?

Dunno, certainly hope so. Last I checked EB, though, its release date was listed for December.
In the meantime, I think I'll look for the extended version of Deus Ex, said to have five extra missions not include on the original release.
I passed it up @ Target a few months ago not knowing what it was, & more recently GoGamer advertised it as a perk for minimum purchase.
Anyone else here have Deus Ex w/the extra missions?
Have you seen the DX2 intro trailer at Fileshack?

RG mentioned that... Is it good? I think I'll have to let my curiousity get the better of me, and I'll download it today.
It's kind of... interesting. It's certainly visually impressive. No question. It's CGI and that's prompted comparisons to Final Fantasy on certain other boards I visit. The style is also a bit different to the original DX intro which have led some to describe it as cheesy. But really the original DX was pretty cliched and cheesy in places...
Well worth the download though!

Well, with the game heading to the XBox, MS probably put some marketing muscle behind it, and decided that the less cheese this time around... the better.:) I'll download it later today.

I saw the video, and it looked intense. I'm getting those Deus Ex shivers again. This game will be great. At Gamespot it is scheduled for December 3rd.

Maybe a bit cliche', but the opening for DX2 is more now than "then" [20years after DX1]. "...Aprox 20 years after events depicted in Deus Ex...in the chaotic period of recovery, religious & political factions see opportunity to reshape the world to their agendas..."
Could be now, could be religious factions in the Mideast, could be expansionism factions in the mideast...could be anytime in human history. Maybe, just maybe a little cliche'.
None the less, after starring at a pile of mediocre games Ive purchased over the last six months [& falling asleep while playing Morrowind], Im eagerly awaiting DX2!
