Memorable Multiplayer Moments (MMMs ;) )

It'll be interesting to have us share some memorable multiplayer moments that we've had over the years. Here are some of mine in no particular order:

<b>DOOM.</b> Aah yes, the first time I played a multiplayer game back in 1994 I believe. Bliss.
<b>Duke Nukem 3d</b> Especially that one map called Legoland that had boxes upon boxes around one small claustophobic room set up for some frantic firefights.
<b>Command and Conquer.</b> Oh I got such a kick out of sending APCs filled with engineers into my amateur opponents' bases and having them take over their building structures and then just sell them off immediately. :D ZING!!
<b>Blood.</b> Oh that train map was just so good. I once blew this poor guy out of the train's window using a rocket launcher and watched his body just tumble away.
<b>Battlefield 1942.</b> Need I say more?

Gotta be Doom.

Way back in the day, I'm guessing '95 or so, if I wanted to play Doom the only choice I had was to play it on the Playstation. Now this was way before I had a computer of my own so to me multiplayer usually involved having 2 people on the same screen, at least til a friend of mine brought over his PS and TV and we played linkup Doom all night long. Man, that was a blast..first taste of MP gaming I ever had and it's stuck with me since.

One of the funniest things I have done was in Battlefield 1942. The game had basically just come online, and there was one guy that was team killing everyone... He ended up whacking me a couple times, and I was then out for blood! I choose a sniper and took him out... He respawned and I quickly jumped into a Jeep and then proceded to run him over! LOL Wait... it gets SO much better. I'm running across the Wake Island runways when I see this Jeep bearing down on me, with guess who? Yup, Mr. Teamkiller himself, looking to get some revenge. Well, I tried running and knew it was a fruitless venture, so I turned to meet the suicidal player, and simply sidestepped... ZOOM! Right off a cliff the Jeep goes, carring Mr. Teamkiller with it! BOOM! LOL That was a rush. I don't think I have laughed like that for a long time.

Another moment I had that was really memorable was while I was playing Neverwinter Nights on the CoA server. I had run into a group of players that had ripped me off when I died out in the wilderness... this guy even robbed me AFTER I saved his hide...

So I eventually stalk this guy through the city streets, waiting till he was alone, and then I corned him. I jumped him, and kicked his ass, but since I wasn't in Full Damage mode, I couldn't kill him. Anyways, this gave him enough time to PM his buddies, and the one comes charging in. Needless to say, they got me good.

About a month later, I had advanced my character to a decent level, and was supprised to see this fellow walk into a bar... It was only me and a couple NPC's. I walked up to the guy, asked "Do you remember me?", and then after he said "Sort of", I told him, "I'm gonna smack the yellow off your teeth", and I did just that. And stole his gold and casually walked away, slipping into the shadows outside the bar. Wow, the adrenaline rush I got from that game. Basically anytime you pick-pocket someone was the BEST rush I have ever got in any game EVER. Just knowing you're doing something naughty to a living, breathing player, and taking goods that they worked really hard to get is a BLAST!

Oh man, that really is funny. Bastard got what he deserved! :D Speaking of Battlefield, there was this one time when our group came across this enemy tank and proceeded to pound it. I myself had a bazooka. Soon the tank caught on fire and I <b>so</b> wanted to fire the last rocket at it before it exploded. So I'm reloading the bazooka which takes so painfully long, and when I finally fired at the tank, the friggin' thing blew up! But -- wait this is funny -- when it blew up it sort of jumped a little off the ground and my rocket just passed right by under the damn thing. It just went on and hit a friendly jeep that blew up. I still laugh when I think about it... :D

I posted this story before (a loooooong time ago), but I was playing CounterStrike on the map Dust2 when my entire team was annihilated in the span of about 3 seconds, leaving me alone. I then proceeded to play cat-and-mouse with the 8 opponents, killing each one-by-one, until I ended up winning the round. It was the greatest moment in my life!! *wiping away tears*

Okay well it was the greatest multiplayer gaming moment in my life, particularly since I'm not normally a spectacular player. My teammates couldn't believe it, and of course some of the opponents accused me of cheating. Oh well. I don't play CounterStrike anymore.

I've had too many to count but last night I was dominating a Beach INvasion game on Return to Castle Wolfenstien and I was using my name Tappy_Tibbons and some guy got mad and changed his name to "Tappy is Crappy" and he kept trying to TK me...he ended up just taking off half of my life every time I spawned causing the REAL enemy to kill me faster so I figured it was time for revenge...he got on a 50. cal gun turret and I snuck up behind him and stabbed him until he had so little life one more stab would have killed him, I then ran out of the room and he followed suit, I then jumped about 10 gamefeet down where I knew it would take off some life and, like the lemming he was, he jumped after me and *SPLAT*!

Also, the first time I was killed by those swinging pendulums in Quake 3 and it said I was "Squished" I laughed my ass off.

I still remember watching a couple people in 1942 get hit with grenades, or HE artillery, and before they hit the ground, they would open their parachutes and gently float to earth! LOL

I've seen the parachute thing, it's a problem they need to fix!!!

I've blow some people off ledges and cliffs, and they just open their parachutes. Some people are taking advantage of the bug.

Sadly, i've never played any dooms multiplayer :( However I remember some of these :-

C&C:

Loved that game, once during a local lan game of that I managed to built around 40 mammoths and proceed to wipe away my 2 friends bases in a matter of moments, I think that map was called Stalingrad or something, great multi-player map.

Half-Life TFC:

Killing my first victim with the engineers spanner. :P

Unreal Tournament:

One of my favorite FPS games, I love modding it to hell with mutators and especially models and voice packs, once you install a ton of voice packs the game can almost practially start talking to itself in awesomely funny ways, I remember a few with the bart simpson voice pack, red dwarf, duke nukem and the terminator pack comes to mind, it went roughly something similar like this.

Red Dwarf: Sir! They've taken Mr Rimmer, Quick Lets get outta here before they bring him back.
Duke Nukem: Your pissing me off
Red Dwarf: Sir are you absoluty sure, it does mean changing the bulb?
Terminator: I'm a t-101 cybernectic orgasm
Bart Simpson: Eat my shorts

BF1942:

Firing cannons and goof and watching them fly upwards, open a parachute and float safely back go ground, first time I saw that the game lost all seriousness of it all.
