Big Disapointment with Sacred

To everyone who would want to play this game multi-player....don't!! Its riddled with CTDs and other bugs and perhaps worse, perhaps most shocking of all.....currently you can't create a game online because of server limitations!! And every day the servers/games are purged for maintence.

Basically, to actually play this game in closed/online mode, you have to join the first games that Encore create just after the servers go up each day otherwise all monsters/items and quests will be used up so new players just sit around with nothing to do except log off and play it single player....

Personally, I only brought this game to play it online since its very similar to Diablo 2, if not better or so I was thinking. The single player game is awesome though

Actually I've found Sacred to be fairly disappointing overall. The enviroments are awesome, no doubt about that, but the game just hasn't drawn me in as of yet.

I was expecting something similar to Divine Divinity, which this game definately isn't. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

Yeah, though I haven't played Sacred too extensively, what I did play of it, it smacked of copyright infringement, playing like Divine Divinity quite a bit. However, I would give the online game some time to get ironed out. NWN was horrible initially both online AND off. However, if it sucks, there's always Beyond Divinity- again, very much the same concept- just a tad bit more scripted RPG'ing.

You wanna know whats worse now??

Download the latest patch, 1.6 and see......actually better not if you actually want to play the game. Someone royally goofed up and if you install it, it destroys the game....literally, it will not load and just displays a black screen, on everyones computer who installs it, I'm having fun reading the heavy flames in the www.sacred-game.com forums, I think Ascaron Software will be getting a lot of hate mail now. lol
