I'm talking about TheMaskedGamer. AKA TheMaskedPoster. AKA Malcolm Xbox. AKA Daman. AKA the dork who used to put "click, whirrr...." at the beginning of all his posts.

I'm talking about the guy who made a four page esay on the computer AI of Gran Turismo 3 having never once played the game.

I'm talking about the guy who made the claim that Obi-Wan on Xbox is better than all the games on PS2.

I'm talking about the guy who made the claim that Fusion Frenzy on Xbox was better than any other party game out there including the Mario Party games.

I'm talking about the guy who when cornered in a BS statement and was proven to be a liar, tucked his tail between his legs and disappeared for months on end before returning with no knowledge of the spanking he took for his lies.

I'm talking about the guy who claimed Xbox will have outsold PS2 within a year after launch.

I'm talking about the guy who never played console games before he bought an Xbox. He was an exclusive PC gamer prior.

I'm talking about the guy who has obviously not played Soul Calibur II, yet continues to make post after post after post trashing the game. "Floating whack rock" levels Daman? Wrong. "No unlockable characters, weapons, levels" and more Daman? Wrong again. "Graphics that aren't as good as SC on Dreamcast Daman? Wrong yet again.

Daman continues to talk up DOA3 because it is an Xbox exclusive. The characters in DOA3 are lame-as-hell. Almost every single one is virtually unchaged in both form, costume and fighting style since the original DOA. The male characters are nothing more than cheap rip-offs and stereotypes. The Dennis Rodman black guy with a green goatee. The Bruce Lee wanna-be Jann. The old man & the drunk ripped straight from Virtua Fighter. The Hulk Hogan look-alike wrastler. Need I go on? Tomonobu Itagaki is even so bold as to rip off a younger, spunky female character like the Tekken games have had for years. The levels are boring and unimaginative. City streets, buildings, a beach, a cliff...and a cage match arena and an arena surrounded by an aquarium ripped straight out of Virtua Fighter! The final boss in DOA3 is a complete and utter joke. Another "big-dude" with a horned helmet and a fake dual-lightsaber. Reviews for DOA3 have said all along that they should have called the game Dead Or Alive 2-A Little More Hardcore because the game is just a polished port of DOA2 on PS2!

And what about Daman's oh-so-precious Xbox? How is it faring? Nintendo has done nothing but "royally screw up" since the N64 days and continue to do so even today. Yet...Xbox is trailing in worldwide sales behind the Nintendo "blunder." Microsoft has been giving games away, dropping the price like a doper chuckin' his crack out the window when a cop is on their tail and begging & paying off developers to put games on Xbox.

If Xbox is so great and has such great games & genres that you can't get on PS2 and Gamecube, why then is MS trying so desperately to pay-off PS2 developers to bring games like Silent Hill, Metal Gear, Onimusha, Dino Crisis and Vice City to Xbox? If platform games are meaningless, why did Microsoft buy Rare for so much dough from Nintendo?

And what about Daman's big claim that Xbox would outsell PS2 in a year? PS2 continues to outsell Xbox 3:1 at least on a monthly basis. Big, bad Microsoft-playing catch-up to a Japanese company, practically giving away games and accessories to get people to buy the system and paying developers untold millions just for a lousy port months after the PS2 or Gamecube versions came out.

And for all of Microsoft's "muscle," EA refuses to put games online on Xbox. Xbox is the worst-selling of all three systems and doesn't look to change that. Japanese developers have pretty much given Microsoft the middle finger and Japanese consumers could care less. Xbox Live has penetrated less than 6% of the Xbox userbase. Sega has pretty much abandoned Xbox and the only decent developer still onboard is Tecmo..who's fighters play second-fiddle to every fighter on PS2 and Gamecube!

The best fighter on Xbox is Soul Calibur II and Xbots are snubbing their nose at it. The very same Xbots who own & love crap like Kakuto Chojin and Tao-Feng. LOFL! :p

Daman aka TheMaskedGamer has never even played or laid eyes on anything more than a screenshot of the original Soul Calibur. He has never played any games on the PS2. He has never played any games on the Gamecube. He has zero credibility.

Ha, this is pretty funny....

At least, you need to give Daman credit for didn't lie about playing GT3. It is not like we wouldn't find out about it anyway. He showed his ignorance about the game, but still... he was honest about it....

This is all pretty effin' hypocritical. Coming from a guy who didn't own an xbox, but tore it a new hole every chance he got, then broke down, bought one, and immediately began singing it's praises. So, in the area of crediblity, you've got your own work cut out for you.

You and daman are into a pissing contest over SC2 and DOA3 and now you're down into the muck with a thread directly attacking him. So, now we'll forget about arguing the games, and we'll just get into a mud-slinging contest. The both of you bore me to tears with your rambling posts about what is better, thinking you can somehow scientifically prove which fighting game is superior.

haha, it is not like your old "why splinter cell is better than MGS" was exciting....

It's boring to play the game already, having a guy makes a long post about how great splinter cell is? That is even worse.....

Besides you havent even gotten through a taste of Splinter Cell so how can you say that MGS2 is better then? Oh thats right I forgot you supposed to own an Xbox right Folken? LOL! Dont we all tell the truth once in a while? Guess not.

I beleive that MaskedGamer has actually played Gran Turismo 3 at some point in time and I do believe he spoke about that in a post. It would be interesting if you could find that post he did about the AI, cause I'd like to read it. In regards to Gran Turismo 3, I would say that the AI does have some serious flaws.

Just because he's never played on consoles before Xbox does not diminish his credibility. I don't blame him for not owning a PS2 ... and quite frankly I don't know what he'd even do with a GC if someone bought it for him, perhaps use it as a coaster. I've played online with him. The man is into more advanced games. He was the one who pushed us to go with 100% sims racing on Moto GP2, something that most of the guys online weren't willing to learn. Yes it was harder at first, but ultimately more rewarding. This is just one example of how his gaming tastes are a little more advanced than most other gamers. I cannot imagine there would be much he would enjoy on the PS2 and GC.

His comments about Soul Calibur 2 are quite valid. Did you REALLY listen to what he was saying? Sure, he had some minor criticisms about level designs and character ballance ... but his main point is that Soul Calibur 2 has done nothing to advance the fighting game genre. It is still based on the same thinking that game makers were using 10 years ago. We have much more advanced technology, and yet Namco didn't really go forth with something innovative. And this kinda goes for most fighting games out there; He was just using SC2 as an example. But .... I will stop at that, since I have not played SC2 and am not into fighting games. However, I could use this same basic principle and go off on a LONG tyrade about how many of the current racing games aren't innovative enough.... but, I'll spare ya'll that.

As much as I personally like Metal Gear Solid 2, I have to admit that Reloaded (sorry, Evolution) is right about this. Splinter Cell is just a more difficult and "advanced" game that Metal Gear Solid 2 was. Both games have their advantages, but Splinter Cell really pushed the gamer beyond their comfort zone. Splinter Cell really made you put on your thinking cap. Although I wished Splinter Cell had less linearity to it, this is really the direction I think action/stealth games need to be heading. Splinter Cell did not hold your hand as much as MGS2 did.

Thus, it is not a surprise that the cubers and SARs patients didn't like Splinter Cell as much as us Xbots did.

This would all be true only if difficult games mean better games. However, it's not. Has anyone tried MGS2 on the hardest difficulty? It is not easy to beat at all nor it's fun to play.

Splinter Cell only rings a bell for me when it comes to graphics, other than that, I don't care for it.

I don't have the time to go through the same mission over and over. Especially, those missions are designed to have people try them a million times to beat. Games like splinter cell aren't my type of game and they will never be.

I don't need to fight you anymore. You are the official loser. What else do I need to prove? Plus, I don't need to prove my manhood through videogames and boring wrestling slangs. Stop bring this up over and over, I already told you, if we were going to fight again, it'll have to be Xmas.

P.S I wouldn't log in so I could just reply to your posts nor would I log out when you show up on the message board. It really depends what I have to do at the time. Consider yourself lucky getting responses from me.

If Soul Calibur brings nothing to the table, DOA brings less than nothing.

I found Splinter Cell to be incredibly pretentious in its linearity and trial and error gameplay. The only thing I liked was that the story wasn't out in left field like MGS2 is. And I agree with Folken, MGS2 on extreme smokes it in terms of difficulty.
