You guys remember my EA bad cd post a while ago, well things got real ugly earlier. I'm asking my wife to take a pic of my destroyed cd.
Literally for the 8th time now i've had a EA game CD crack for no reason what so ever, this time though it literally *Explode* inside my cd-rom, fortuntely after some minor maintainance and some of the shards removed it still works, but i'm so pissed off with EA and there real crappy cd quality, from now on, each time I pay for a EA game i'm downloading an ISO of the same game and play from that, they should definately allow legal back-ups especially if problems like this are common!
The cd problems I have are so weird and only happen with EA games that I brought from England, they develop minor cracks in the CD even without use whatsoever then go to a point they don't work at all, this time it was Sims: Unleashed CD1, it had developed a tiny crack and still worked, earlier I checked the cd for the crack, it was the same and literally during the the first 5 seconds as it spun up I heard a loud bang (my ears are still ringing from it) and opened the cd-rom to find peices fall out.
I've had 2 versions of the Sims: Unleashed that the cd's died through the same way, I've had my copy of Sims: Superstar die in *literally* 3 weeks since purchase and the store I brought it from wouldn't take it back they said contact EA support which wasn't very helpful and wanted to charge me £10 per replacement CD! Then, i've had 2 copys of Battlefield 1942 to this to me also. Basically wasted nearly $200+ on them.
Here is the pic of the cd, the crack in the superstar isnt that visible :( so I got a red marker and coloured the crack so you guys can at least see it.
