Me being the one who sometimes lets his memories and thoughts fly aimlessly, I was thinking about some of the better multiplayer moments I've had with games, and suddenly I came to realize that some of the best moments I've had were with Monolith's Blood. There was this one map where all the players were put onto a movie train and I must say it was nothing short of heart-stoppingly amazing fun. While I normally like having as many players as possible play on a single map, that train map was just right with no more than 3 at a time. Until now it stays as one of the most well thought-out, designed, and playable maps in any game I've played, in my view.

Just wondering if anyone else out there enjoyed it as much as I did.

I thought the game was pretty mediochre if you ask me, especially since NoLF was released with an engine upgrade a few months later... The best experience I have ever had playing online is with NWN... personally.

The most memorable multiplayer moment for me was when i loaded up the original Tribes back in the day to play my very first online game. Back then, i didn't even know about updating or patches, so it took a couple of hours just to get set up and able to play. But when i was off and playing on my 56K modem and getting completely schooled by other players, i was completely amazed at the thought of playing against real "human" players. Ahh, i wish i could be mesmorized like that again.

Oh yeah, Blood was a mediocre game, that's for sure. It's just that one particular multiplayer map that I got a kick out of.

Ooh, ooh, this sets up a good premise for an interesting new thread! Check it out in the General Discussions Section now!

I read that about blowing the guy out the window of the moving train... I can see how back in '99 that would be impressive indeed! I would have definitley cracked a smile at that too. :D

Cracked a smile? It was downright friggin hilarious! :D

Check it out, Gamespy has rated Blood as their 23rd most underrated game. And I guess I have to agree with what they have to say.
