When they got Namco to port Soul Calibur II to Xbox (it was the last one approved of the three versions), Microsoft paid Namco extra money for the...well, "money shot."
I'm talking about how when you win a match with Spawn, you get a close-up of his crotch while he laughs. Yup-it fits with Xbox's image: Big, black, ugly and in-your-face. Like I need to see Al Simmon's "package" when I win a match with him.
also, Namco cheated Xbox owners. The manuals for the PS2 & Gamecube versions is longer (more pages) and made with a heavy, card-stock cover. The Xbox version manual is printed on cheap-ass paper like a Marvel comic.
Another funny thing is how the Gamecube version loads faster than the Xbox version and has a more comfortable controller. After about a half-hour of playing SCII on Xbox, my thumbs hurt from those hard-ass funny-shaped buttons. I initially hated the GCN controller for this game, but have found it much easier to play than the Xbox version. PS2 controls best.
I should also point out that while my PS2 and GCN controllers have been played relentlessly, they continue to work flawlessly. My Xbox Controller S which is the newest controller I own is crap. The A-button sticks or doesn't depress correctly and I have treated it with the utmost care. All this while I have literally thrown my PS2 & GCN controller across the room and bounced them off a hardwood floor!
The PS2 version of Soul Calibur II also includes a bonus demo disc, with playables, downloads, videos and more. I guess Xbox owners love their little extra: A add for Kill Switch.
Xbox owners like Daman should also love characters like Necrid and Spawn since they are designed with American-tastes in mind. We all know how bad you guys hate Japanese made games, right?

<div class=\"smallfont\">When they got Namco to port ........ </div>
I think the controller issue is rather important. MS definitely needs to create a more comfortable controller for the next xbox. Sidewinder for PC was a piece of ****. I hate it with passion and yet Xbox's controller is like a hybrid of DC controller and sidewinder. The two worst of controllers in the history of mankind. No wonder people hate it. The D-pad is pretty bad too. I have trouble to do with my moves in CvS2 EO all the time. Did I mention the button layout for it sucks too?

Finally we agree, MS got sucked along with Sony and Nintendo, and anyone like myself stupid enough to buy this game, which is like you finally admitted a PORT of the DC game. You are right, this is a Japanese game I should have avoided. Don't get me wrong, the game is good, but it is just the same as the DC version. The new characters aren't worth the price of admission.
Only you would sit here and brag about a multiplatform game, and no one believes you have an XBOX. You sit here for months telling people you have an XBOX, when after years u complained about how MS was evil. You were just lying so u could build up some credibility and now try and seem objective in your critiques of the XBOX. Your charade is a thinly veiled as Namco's attempt to give false gameplay in SC2. Go ahead and enjoy your advertisement for Kill.Switch, i'm sure you will run out and buy it like a fool and tell yourself how great it is. Namco sucks butt, they can keep their next ridge racer, their kill switch, and anything else until they start making some really meaty games.
So go ahead and drool over your cardboard game manual. If I were to brag about this game, which i'd never do cause its not worth it, i'd say i'd rather have progressive scan, faster framerates, and dolby5.1 over a quality manual any day. But to each his own. And none of my controllers are deteriorating, and i've had my box since launch. Stop your lying man.

Are you retarded or do you just not have reading comprehension skills? Soul Calibur II on Xbox is a port of the Gamecube code! The Gamecube code is based off of Playstation2 arcade hardware. Neither has anything to do with Dreamcast or the original System 12 hardware that SCI was created on! Can you understand?
You are the most dense idiot on this board. You have no comprehension of what you are even saying. Go ahead and believe I don't own an Xbox. I made up all those scores & games I have listed on my IGN games page at the bottom of my posts! Click it to see the games I lied about owning! While you are at it Daman, click on http://www.pbase.com/gf78/gf78stuff Sorry the pics are out of date, but I cannot update the page for free any longer and don't feel like paying. But you know, I probably just stole all those pics off the net and claim then as my own. (detect the sarcasm twit?)
And you prove you have not even played this game since every versions supports 480 progressive scan and the Xbox versions supports 720! IDIOT! At least play a game before you talk crap about it DAMAN!

You've resorted to comparing manuals...How sad.
Another funny thing is how the Gamecube version loads faster than the Xbox version and has a more comfortable controller. Why not compare the load times of PS2 and xbox while you're at it? Oh and say hi to Gandalf and for me, you're obviously very Frodo-like in stature if you can use the Cube d-pad to play without you're fingers becoming sore.
First of all, you have a broken controller. The button is probably sticking because of all of your "money shots."
Xbox owners like Daman should also love characters like Necrid and Spawn since they are designed with American-tastes in mind. We all know how bad you guys hate Japanese made games, right?[/QUOTE]</div>
Wow, talk about a close-minded sweeping generalization. Because someone is a Todd Macfarlane fan and enjoys these characters means that they hate Japanese design and influence in games? Boy, I better go play with Heihachi or Link to make myself feel like a better person. Thanks for the heads up Geezer!
Cmon Geezer, youre just not even trying to make sense anymore. Wait a minute, Geezer, old age, selective memory...OH I GET IT, you're doing this on purpose! Whew, you had me worried!

First off, I know the XBOX version supports 720p arsewipe, but what u dont know is it forces u to play in 4/3 mode, i know u don't what that is cause u can't fit a widescreen tv into your trailer. So I disabled 720p support in the dashboard and play the game in 480p. While I believe the GC version supports 480p, because the GC has hardware support for progressive scan, I kinda doubt the PS2 does, but its possible they've done it before for 1 or 2 POS2 games.
Any clown, I was just joking with u, I know what u meant when u said the XBOX version was a port so calm down. Now u know how perturbing it is when You and Slade misquote and lie about what others said, u guys can dish it out but u cry like little beyatches on the receiving end.
Anyway, i've said all i'm about to say about SC2. About the levels, the characters, the fighting, your stupid azz weapon master mode. U never addressed any of the issues, cause your ass got clowned. So i'm done with u, onto some new topic we can argue about. Peaaaace!
