There are plenty of new features to get used to, so please be patient. Don't be afraid to ask questions here in the Suggestions forum. Also keep in mind that most questions can be answered by reading the FAQ linked up above. If you didn't see the link, here it is:

Just a comment on the Marked as Read markers... they don't appear to be working in some instances. At times, the icons switch back to the grey Mark as Read Icons, while sometimes they remain yellow, even after being read by me, and upon recurrent visits, even though there has been no new posts.
I've had the same thing happen with me SBS. I haven't figured out why yet. It definitely has something to do with cookies. I tested this on Windows XP and Windows 98 computers.
One thing you can do for now is, once you have read all the messages, go to the bottom of the Gaming Forums page and click on "Mark All Forums Read". It's right under the last forum. The other way I found to clear read posts is to log off and back on every time I return to the forums, which is a pain.

Yeah, I'm still looking into this one... can't figure it out. It may have something to do with a bug in the script itself. I'll let you know when I find something.

I had to block the email I was getting from this site even though I turned it off twice.
Bring back Off Topic! Bring back SYstem Wars! This place ain't the same without them!
Off topic can be posted in General.
System Wars,.... since it is such a popular forum, I agree with Robert that it needs it's own place.
You can't lump it together with GD. You will basically have a board with flames and whatever mixed with tame posts. And that will make it hard to moderate. There has been a different standard for GD and System Wars. It is like putting different television channels together. You can't have the Romance channel mixed with Action or FoX Sports. We need a separate System Wars forum so the "viewers" know exactly what they are going to get each time they come on the board. Having prospective VGR members sift through many "tame" posts in order to find the more raunchy posts of the System Wars variety is not a good idea because it does not allow members or guests the chance to get a feel for what the identity of the board is.
Besides the popularity of the System Wars forum, moderating will definitely be easier if all the System War debates are in one section. I'd like to see the forum brought back.
