Yeah, I know that I'm making a hypocrit of myself right off the bat... but what is SO contraversial about this game? Everyone seems to either really love it or really hate it, but I feel like the only person left anywhere in the middle.
One-third of the posts are "<i>This is the greatest game of all time, I bought all three versions for all three consoles!</i>", another one-third are "<i>The version for <b>my</b> console is the greatest game of all time, you other guys' exclusive characters suck!</i>", and the final one-third are "<i>This is just a straight Dreamcast port, worst game of the century!</i>".
I just thought that a fourth perspective should be brought in... "<i>It looks pretty good for a fighter-game, but that genre is a bit played-out... possibly worthwhile as a rental</i>".
What is it about this game that seemingly generates nothing but strong opinions? Is it just because it's a title that begs for console vs. console comparisons, or is there really anything else about it that's not just yet-another-fighter-game?
