This was kinda tough to decide for me because it's down to about 3 games I can think of...but in the end, there can only be one...

KUNG FU CHAOS!!!!!! How many countless gamers have missed out on this one because of some bad PRO reviews. I own this one, have unlocked 100%, yet still play it once a week or so for a couple of hours. Tight, deep(deeper than Smash Bros), timing based gameplay, tons of personality, and awesome unlockables!

Dismissed by the professional review sites as an average game, Mercedes World Racing was passed over by many racing fans. The bottom line is that World Racing does so many things right for the genre, and gives the gamer a wide variety of simulation and AI diffculty settings to adjust to your own liking.

On 100% simulation, it's almost like F355 challenge. On max arcade settings, it feels like Metropolis Street racer. The game allows you to adjust the AI strength as well as an option to have the game dynamically adjust the AI settings based on your results.

The game boasts a boatload of courses, some very technical, and even several offroad courses. There is a good variety of cars, although they are redundant within the same class. However, the game allows you to try out offroad vehicles as well as an F1-like car, as well as their A class, C class, S class, E class, etc.... so there is a wide range of cars to try. The game supports an in-view cab that even lets you look left and right to check your blind spots.

On top of all this, World Racing really thinks outside the box by keeping track of your overall progress (ranking, clean racing, not hitting others, performing powerslides, not going off track, holding a position in a race, etc.) instead of the old "you must place first in every race in order to progress" type of thinking. You do NOT need to win all races in order to be the top driver in the game.

And, the icing on the cake, is that this game encorporates the best custom soundtrack feature of any game. You can pick your song lineup from any of your recorded soundtracks, in any order you want, and the game will then randomly go through your songlist and will not interupt the song at any time (even when loading.) So no more skipping to the next song after the race is over or if you have to restart or load a level. Now you can rest assured you'll hear your favorite song in its entirety even if you restart.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer was truly one of the best action/adventure games that came out early this year.Regardless of what the reviews had to say this game stayed true to the series. The developers:The Collective did a fine job with this game.

The next most underated game for the Xbox was Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. This game was textbook Indiana Jones.Plus the Action was top notch.Once again the Collective made a fine action/adventure title that was once again overlooked by most critics. At least Xbox magazine and Game Informer gave both of these games the great reviews that they richly deserved.

And even though some will disagree with this but DOA Volleyball was another game that was overlooked as well.I mean yes its indeed a T & A show for the boys, but there is more to the game than that.I mean you have to win every match and keep your partner happy at the same time.Plus you have to keep money in your pocket. To some that might not sound so swift, but it does present an interesting twist in the game though. Those were just a few picks of mine for the Xbox.

Honestly, I think one of the most underated game for Xbox is "Gun Metal" for those of you who don't know, its a third person shooter, and a "Flyer", you can go take enimies on on foot or press "Y" and transform into a jet and start NAPALM THE HELL OUT OF EVERYTHING!!, personally I prefer the jet then foot.

1. Fusion Frenzy: If you have guest over or hanging out with others this is the best game. Anyone off the street can compete. It is the Xbox equivilent to Sega's Virtua Tennis.

2. Buffy; I have to second on this one. I am currently playing this and the graphics look alot better than reviewers gave it credit for. I would easily put it in the overall top ten Xbox games.

Which is the most underrated XB game? That's easy... Furious Karting! Although I'm with Revolution in that I think there are a bunch of underrated games.
- Believe it or not, but the MotoGPs are very underrated. They have pulled in some pretty good scores from the pros, but the games actually deserve much higher... they should be scored in the mid 9s!
- And some of you may think I'm crazy, but I feel that DOA-XBV is another grossly underappreciated and underrated game. I am serious. The game is misunderstood, I think. It's different and good. And much more than a pretty face; the volleyball part is really quite decent - albeit tough.

But without a doubt FK takes the cake. Even the bastiches over at the OXM took a sucker punch at the game - calling it... ahh, fudge it, I'm not going to tell you... it's stupid, and it doesn't deserve to be mentioned again. Not only is FK the most underrated game on the XBox, but I dare say that it's the most underrated game of all-freaking-time! The developer, Babylon Software, put a lot of effort into this game. It looks good, it sounds good, and the gameplay is fantastic. It's only a kart game, but the racing details are more refined and in-depth than a lot of sim racers, I tell you. And the game's career/story mode progresses in a more varied and diverse manner than most J-RPGs! The characters are... ehh, but the power-ups are fun, there's lots of different tracks to race on (though they start out blase, they get more exciting as they open up), and the game sports a decent sense of humor. It's funnier than Paul Reiser, Jerry Seinfeld, or Robin Williams doing stand-up, I can tell you that.

The biggest knock on FK has got to come against it's multi-player modes. And that's not knocking it for not being XBL enabled either - as that would be unfair. But the game does not support system link either. Though virtually none of the early racers available for the XBox (or for any system - even still today) support more than 4 racers either, it seems like a kart game should, doesn't it? (Even though no kart game has before.) Well, as you can see, it's not right to deduct too many points off of FK for this - but it is still the games biggest detriment. And that's saying something!

For a more detailed explanation of what I think of the game, go check out my full review on VGR... :D

Why, mine is the only review for the game - I do not know!
Hey see... I told you it's severely underrated - nobody's even giving it a chance! Stupid pros!!!

I give Furious Karting a 9.0!

FK eh? I'll have to give it a try. I haven't found it anywhere around here. I don't think I'd pay 50$ for it, maybe 20$...

Well you're in luck, because that's exactly what it's priced at!
And actually, it was never priced at $50, it entered the market at $29.99 - except for at the GameStop that's closest to me, where the jerks had it marked up to $34.99.
All that said... it's worth $50 though. ;)

I was going to mention these 2 titles, but you beat me to it, Evolution.
