omg the majority of reviews are totally unjustified. Sure there are voice recognition and item recognition problems but for the most the game is totally playable. Some reviews made it sound like the game was broken. I can assure you it's not, and the vr is great. I can only guess that most "pro"reviewers have mumble mouth enunciation and tiny lexicons.
She even responds to profanity, pet names "hey baby" and sexual suggestions. :P Doesn't add to the gameplay, but it's funny.
I read VR was a big problem during combat. So far after 2 hours, she performs all the combat commands flawlessly. "back up" "shoot shoot" "shoot head" etc. She can understand simple verb noun commands "examine pc" to full blown sentences, "check the vending machine dispener second from you left."
It's a slower paced game and VERY heavy on exploration and reading. So that may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the technology and related gameplay is sound, imho.

Game Informer may have been the only reviewer (I think) that didn't hate the game. It's something that's definitely unique, but I do not have a headset :(

I have also read multiple reviews were they state that voice recognition is less than stellar and found myself wondering if the problem might not be the game but the gamer. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy's reviewing these games have lisps or can't enunciate words properly from lack of social interaction with the outside world. There probably so intimidated by women that they can't even talk to one in a video game. Bunch of pu$$ies.
Just kidding. I'm sure that there a bunch of great homos...............................apiens.
I just might have to check it out for myself. I'll let you know what I think. It would also be nice to here other gamers experiences with Lifeline and the headset in general. Thanks for the intel, T. Tashi.

No problem! :) After 13 hours with it I can say the VR isn't perfect. But it's dead on I'd say 75%-80% of the time. One problem is the voice recognition is context sensitive. For instance if Rio walks over to a table I'm guessing the database she accesses is related only to what's on the table. So she'll misunderstand a lot in that context, and there are times she just plain doesn't understand. But the VR is very cool. In fact the game scores you on your pronunication. While flawed it still pulls it off very effectively.
The combat can be very frustrating though. It's tough til you get the hang of it. But I stand behind it. The technology is innovative and the VR accurate enough that the really harsh scores are undeserving.

I got this game on the latest issue of OPM, but I don't have a headset to try it out. Oh well, maybe when I get Karaoke Revolution I'll tear this up.
