Hey guys Darwin suggested we get in some practice running together, to get used to how everybody rides. I think its a good idea. So far, if i'm not mistaken we have 3 teams as follows:
MUFFler Kings - Darwin(MethadoneMan) & Glockstar(MrUnLucky)
Bike:Yamaha M1-f
Triple RRR Racing - KennyD & Myself(PHAZE VELOCITY)
Bike:Honda RC 211
No Name Yet - Tapout911 & B7stream
Bike: Not Yet Decided

So that is 6 riders, 3 teams. Then we also have 2 members, MatrixArchitect and stillfastasleep(Massy) that have yet to find teams. Hey guys, I have an idea, why don't YOU TWO TEAM UP :D

Then that would give us four teams, and if we can get one more team. We can start Suzuka next Sunday.

I also have a new idea to make it easier for everybody to design their bikes. Since you can't really import a paint scheme, i'd like to loosen the idea of each team having the same logo(s). I think as long as the teams use the same bike colors, it is okay if they have different logo(s). Also, everyone should also choose a number for their bike. Just post what number you are currently using, there is only 6 of us so the chance for conflict is low.
My number is #66.

So, since there is 8 of us in the league so far, and since we propose to race on Sunday's anyway. Perhaps everyone can meet up tonight ONLINE at 7pm EST for a little practice racing? Don't worry if you can't make it exactly at 7pm if we get a room going its likely to last for a few hours at least. Well guys we need two more teams, it would be nice to get all 8 so keep trying to recruit guys. It would suck to get this close and have it all go up in smoke before our first race.

There are a lot of guys who race sims in the weekend evenings. So, there is actually a chance that if you start a room, it could get maxed out and not allow some of the VGR guys to enter. I don't mind if non-VGR guys join in, just reserve about 7 or 8 slots for friends when you start the room. And, if I see anyone that KennyD and I raced with last night, I can invite them to our room at which time we can tell them about our league. Unless something unexpected happens, I'll see you on tonight at 7 pm Eastern.

It'll also be a chance to test out connectivity. We'll see if anyone is lagging.

I race with #27, my age.

Glockstar, PM me or post here your color scheme, choice of rider's clothes, and logo text/art so I can match my bike. Hey, since we're the MUFFler Kings, perhaps we should be all pink .... j/k :-)

Can't make it tonight, got company coming over. That unfortunately, is one of the hazards of scheduling for a sunday.

Something went wrong when I was hosting tonight. We we doing well with 6 people in the room, but around the time when Phaze Velocity joined up, we had about 12 people and something happened to my game. My game was running like 5 fps and I couldn't race. Interestingly enough, noone else's connection was like that. I've never had that happen before and I've even hosted with the full 16 people and had not seen that problem. I suspect one of the non-VGR guys in the game was running his computer along with Xbox Live.

It does bring up good points, though. 1) We need to find who had good connections and decide primary and secondary (a.k.a. a bakup) hosts for each race. and 2) When we are doing an official Sunday race, everyone needs to make sure we're not running anything else on our broadband connections (i.e. dedicate their line to Xbox Live). The VGR guys were doing that tonight, I think it was a non-VGR guy who was giving my game a problem.

Anyway, good to see a lot of us out there tonight. We did a 10 lapper on Suzuka and everyone raced cleanly.
