I didnt keep up on Segas death throws, did Microsoft buy them?

Yeah, MS bought Sega a while ago. The S in MS now stands for Sega.

It'd be a waste of billions. PDO: crap; Sega GT: Gran Turismo wannabe; Otogi: appears reasonably good. The rest are dismissable.

PDO=crap? You just lost all credibility with me, unless of course you are just a PC gamer, then I can assume you dont know any better and let it slide. As for Otogi and Sega GT, havent played Otogi, but Sega GT does a good job, sure its no GT, but what is.

As for the rest being dismissable, I again will assume that was a remark from a PC gamer, not a console gamer. Seeing as how Sega makes one of the best, if not the best, fighting game, Virtua Fighter. Currently has the best overall sports line with the ESPN games. Did a stellar job on Gunvalkyrie, sure its a bit on the difficult side, but hardly unplayable. How about the highly regarded party game, Super Monkey Ball or the RPG's PSO or Skies of Arcadia? All developers have their bombs. Sega's lineup, though, is hardly dismissable.
