These two games.

I've got an order waiting to place @ GoGamer, which includes Sacrifice[thanks Moya]. Sacrifice is bundled w/a game called MESIAH, ever play it? Another unknown to me is Metal Gear2/Substance, Ive read a few reviews that indicate control is a nightmare...
My last pick was HITMAN 2.
Let me know if you've played these, I think they should all be winners..

BTW, does this board cover both RPG's & RTS's ?

ARG!! Massiah is absolutely terrible game!! Avoid avoid avoid!

Hitman 2 while attractive on the surface, has MAJOR problems down deep. If you can get over the hurdles of the intricacies of the engine and the gameplay (like you can obviously for H+D), then you may be able to stomach this game. However, I was really turned off the fact that shooting one person on a level, would bring ALL guards running to my location, even though a pile of them would be at the bottom of the stairs I was guarding.

MGS 2 is another matter. Config problems aside (it'll take some tweaking on your behalf), the controls are a bit sketchy, but with a good pad they can be configured properly. However, when placed next to Splinter Cell, Thief, or Chrome... it shows its' age indeed. Not a bad game, but it seems kind of gamey to me... especially with the omniscient radar. I only progressed about 2 hours into it before I got sick of it. Oh yeah... be prepared for the 4 GB install... min. I hope you have a DVD drive! :D

Actually, me and SBS complained about this a while back but I guess with all the other major site stuff going on nothing was done. I'd really like to see an RPG only board.

Yup. :cool: But trust me Moya, he has no control over that. We should be pleading our case to Lara, or head back to the Site Suggestions and create a poll.

I thought there was a poll and there was only 5 votes or something? Or am I misremembering? In any case, have you seen the Sports forum recently? Dead as a dodo that one, just as predicted. An RPG forum is clearly needed what with all the confusion over whether Temple of Elemental Evil is any good or not...

Nope, you're right... but maybe someone should be bumping it? :cool:

Oh and I don't think there's any confusion as to whether ToEE is good or not... ;) At least between us, but yeah, I see your point.

Post was made a month ago [30 days to date], prior to being mod. :)

RPG's are popular enough here to warrant their own board, but that'll take a back seat to many of the "Site Feedback/Complaints" repiars being made now.

Sacrifice? That would be the game my nephew pilfered from me about a week ago [yes, time does fly]. I will pass on my $.02 worth of opinion on Sacrifice whe I get it back.
I gave my nephew my P3/500mhz-G264mb system about 5-6 months ago. He grew up on consoles & now is discovering PC gaming. For his 8th birthday, I gave hime Warlords Battlecry 2. He took to it w/speed, & surprisingly loves strategy games. Hence, when he discovered Sacrifice on my office desk..."please, please, I promise to take care of it..please"...
We have talked about Sacrifice, hes having some minor trouble grouping units & figuring out hot keys in general [it his first pc].
He loves mess'n w/the Gods, from what I can tell it sounds like a classic Greek mythology of Gods interfering w/mans endeavours, man getting even now & then [?]. He [nephew] has allied w/Pyro god....this is all second hand & a little confusing not being able to play the game myself [yet].
It sounds like a winner w/some unique approaches to RTS gaming.
Cant wait to get it back. ;)

I really think Sacrafice is a gem although it is not an easy game. It has been one that stretches the rts gaming in a way few games have as most just clone others in this huge category. Messiah is one that had some good reviews but I tried it-hated it-sold it fast.

Cant wait to start Scrifice, it comes highly recommended [by RTS'ers].

Re: Messiah, as you indicate, some good reviews, but personal replies have been negative.
