Know some good Gothic 2 cheats?

OK, I'll admit it. I enjoy the game but it simply gets too hard for me to have fun with it anymore. I don't think I'm the first to register this complaint. Please list any and all cheats- and how to apply them in the game- to help me advance as a mercenary.

Sometimes this is true, but not always. In this case fighting with a sword is a serious problem and there is just no way I can beat certain foes which is required to advance. I'm not going to use every cheat possible, just one or two small ones to help level the playing feild. Winning too easily isn't fun, but neither is the frustration of losing and reloading over and over again. I'm looking for a comprimise. Perhaps something that would automatically give me better armor, for instance....

Well there are plenty of cheats over there at GameFAQs if you want to use them. Personally, I don't understand what everyone's complaining about. I beat Gothic 1 twice (first with a mage and then melee) without any cheats, and I'm probably about 1/3 of the way through Gothic 2 and haven't had to cheat at all. I admit some parts are a little hard, but that's part of what makes it fun.

Well, I found all the cheats. The only one I took advantage of was slightly upping my hitpoints. This helped a great deal, and I was finally able to defeat the militia extorting from the upper farm. Believe me, I really am no fan of god mode overkills or anything, and I enjoy learning how to figure out problems inherent to any game, but you have to admit that gothic 2 is lots harder than most, and maybe I'm just not quite as good at this kind of sword fighting. anyway, next time i play, i will know not to try to multi-class, and i will try the paladin or wizard route with no cheats. the way i am now, i'll still be aquiring all the weapons and armor for the first time, and believe me, it is still a very challenging game. that snapper still kicks my but every time, as does that guy who tries to take my money when I enter onar's farm...
