Do you have a favorite Original Nintendo game that you considered to be an AWESOME game but to other people it just didn't seem to be very popular?? Now, I'm not talking about Mega Man, Kid Icarus, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Zelda, etc. Those games are well known. The game I think is AWESOME to play is (Eliminator Boat Duel). It isn't very popular because I don't think many people have ever heard of it. You race boats up screen and it's great to play. It ranks right up there with R.C. Pro Am & R. C. Pro Am II in my opinion.

Body Harvest by Rockstar (aka devs for GTA III)... Man, I have never wanted a remake as much as I want a remake for that game.

One of my favorite original Nintendo games? Lets see Rygar definately was one of my favorites.Ikari Warriors was another.Gradius was a great shooter that never really got much press. And to this day I still say that Ghosts N'Ghoblins for the NES was one of the hardest games ever to beat.Because you had to beat the game not once but twice to see the real ending. And how can we forget about Double Dragon.

Master Blaster first then Golgo 13. I just played an emulated version of Golgo 13 a few months ago and was still impressed by the depth of story and variety of gameplay. Master Blaster needs an updated version bad!

N64's Rogue Squadron may have been know by some, but I belive it was'nt a sales success. I loved it then, I was still into Star wars.
Being able to replay missions for a bronze/silver/gold medal was motivating & unlocking the Tie Fighter a blast!
I think this was actually my first experience w/video games, or damn close to it!

Every other flying game with a star wars theme has been a rehased Rogue Squadron.

Did you ever beat Ghosts N'Ghoblins??? That game was insanely hard, i just gave up over the years (i tried to beat it many many many many times.). I couldn't even think of getting through once, let alone twice in a row!

AHH, Double Dragon, a game that i've forgot about. I had so much fun playing that game with my little brother back in the day. I would have to say that the original Mario still has a special part of my heart, its the game that got me hooked on video games.

I got a crapload of old NES games that I still love to play!!!

Bubble Bobble
Darkman
Dragon Warrior
Double Dragon II
Flying Warriors
Gradius
Jaws
Lifeforce
Little Nemo:Dream Master
Marble Madness
The Ninja Gaiden trilogy(not on the SNES, but also)
Pro Wrestling
Rad Racer
River City Ransom(I can't belive no one put this game up!!)
Rollergames
TMNT
Total Recall
Wizards and Warriors I, II, III

You can add to that list a large amount of Sega Master System, Genesis, SNES, gameboy, and Gamegear games. Love it!

EDIT
Note to the admin.
When I put a colon mark and the letter "D", it created that smilie in Little Nemo. Hmmmm......

River City Ransom: The game I always hear people talking about and waxing nostalgic over, yet I've never played it. I can't even find a rom for it anywhere...

The closest I've come to playing it is River City Hacky Sack (http://www.somethingawful.com/rchs/index.html)

I can't believe noone's mentioned CastleVania or Super Tecmo Bowl.

Bionic Commando was great.

Link and Zelda.
Super Mario Brothers 1, 2 and 3.
Metal Gear.
Metroid.

The problem with Ikari Warriors and Double Dragon is that they were both so much better in the arcade.

I think the NES, even today, has had the highest consistent level of quality of games. I'm a huge fan of the PS1 and the Sega Genesis but they each had at least one crap game for every good game.

I don't remember too many bad NES games. Perhaps just because I didn't play the bad ones. Duck Hunt sucked I guess.....

There were a lot of crapped-out NES games. You just probably never heard of them. Out of the 1000 or so NES games, I'd put at least 1/3 or them in the crap bin.

I see the good in that, it says Rogue Squadron was a success to be copied. ;)

I would have to say Excite-Bike, Bionic Commando, and Strider (best Strider game) were my favorite NES games.

I thought the best Double Dragon was the one on Sega Master System. Unlike the NES version of the first one, you can play both players at the same time.

I'd have to go with:
River City Ransom
Shadowgate
Crystalis
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
...and that's all I can think of at the moment.

Clash at Demonhead. An action RPG side scrolling type of game. Very underrated in my book.

Hard to remeber since it is getting close to 20 years since I played NES and I was a poor kid with out much access to a wide variety of games, but here are mine:

Sorry but I have to list the well known ones... like I said I was poor and only got a game on my birthday or Christmas.

Metroid
Super Mario Bros 1 and 3 (not 2, that was a piece of crap)
Zelda (only the first one.. rest were crap and rip offs)
Excitebike

The only one that I have that was not really well known that was fun to me and hard too is Burger Time.

Don't know if any of you remeber it, but it looked alot like Donkey King with a bit of Pac Man thrown into the gameplay.
