Will Nintendo still sell the GBA SP for $99? Wouldn't that be weird to have the second most powerful console on the market priced the same as a tiny handheld? I guess that the only defense is that the tiny technology items tend to run more (look at laptops vs desktop PC's.)

I guess that the only defense is that the tiny technology items tend to run more (look at laptops vs desktop PC's.)Of course they'll still sell the SP at $99 for the time being. The Cube is under pressure, but the GBA is still flying off the shelves at it's current price point. I could see them dropping the price if the PSP takes off in a big way, but that remains to be seen.
Alot of people see it as a foregone conclusion that Sony's console sucess will crossover into handhelds, but I see them as different markets altogether. People are willing to fork over the bucks for a super-powerful console that also serves as a basic DVD player... but I don't know if the "cram-tons-of-power-in-and-sell-at-a-high-price-point" strategy will work against the "make-something-affordable-that-does-one-thing-and-does-it-well" strategy that's always been Nintendo's thing. There's only so much horepower you can cram into a portable device with a screen sized at a few inches... I just don't see $200-$250 Sony units (with a software library being built from scratch) doing well head-to-head when Nintendo has the flexibility to drop their price-point to $50-$70 (and has an enormous library).
Now, if GBA games keep inflating to the point where they cost more that Cube games (which seems more and more like a possibility every day), that would be pretty screwed up!

How true [regarding small tech & $]. Im looking at handheld PPCs [Personal Pocket Computers], which can easily run to $600 w/Bluetooth.
You can buy a desktop PC for that.
Did someone say GC is due for a price drop?
