Is anyone getting this game? Has anyone played a demo of this game?

I've had my eye on it. Cyber punk themes and stealthy spy chicks are right up my alley, but haven't played a demo tho. It has one review on gamerankings and its not flattering. But it's just one.

I saw that review score. I'm curious to what Game Informer said about the game. These are the same guys that said that no Final Fantasy game for PS2 should get a score lower than 9.0, so the score may not mean too much. The previews for Cy Girls sound promising. I may try to check out some movies on the game.

I've seen some gameplay vids. It looks pretty hot. One can dive and shoot on her back from the floor and the ninja chick does your usual ninja wall running and had some very cool fatalities. But a 4 is pretty brutal. Clearly below average. But you're right. I've played low scoring games I really liked (Evil Dead for instance). So we shall see. I think it's out sometime in March.

You gonna get Everything or Nothing? A lotta sites gushing over this game, but there's a Planet Comicon coming here in March so I'm trying to curve my spending. I always take a handful of cash and wish I brought a lot more, so I'm going prepared this year.

Last time I checked, they changed the release date for Cy Girls to March 23. That kind of messes up my game purchase plans. I will still get Cy Girls, probably not during its release week though. A score of 4 is definitely brutal, yet I wonder what sites such as Gamespot and IGN will score the game. It's hard to tell by their previews if the game is good or not. (I've read previews and diaries on games where they try to talk the game up, and they end up having weak scores).

As far as Everything or Nothing, yeah, I'm going to pick it up this week. So far, the only weakness in the game seems to be the targeting. It sounds like it's playable, but takes some getting used to. I have to pick up the title Friday, since Blockbusters do not get theirs until then and I have a lot of trade credit to unload so I can stop doing business with this wannabe, lame excuse for a gamestore.

About Planet Comicon, do a lot of people go there dressed as their favorite comic hero/heroine?

LOL! Blockbuster's not that bad....... ok yeah they are.

And yeah, people come dressed up in some weird stuff but I never saw a lot of that. Just a few. And they come dressed in stuff not even remotely popular anymore. I remember one guy dressed in a ghostbuster jumpsuit, complete with the ghost busting backpack thingy on this back, that had some kind of working mechanism in it. Mainly though it's pretty normal.

This is part of the very small "Review Quickie" of Cy Girls from Game Informer, in which they gave a score of 4:

".........These ladies may look hot in pictures, but believe me they are Medusas in the gameplay department. This title is notable for offering your choice of not one, but two woefully incompetent camera systems. In addition, Cy Girls also delivers horrid control, mechanical and unexciting gameplay, and tedious level designs. To be honest, I didn't play this for long. But does a food critic have to eat a dozen dog poop and sauerkraut sandwiches before he writes that he doesn't like the taste?"

To be fair, these are the same guys that gave Enter the Matrix a score of 8.5 and The Getaway a 9.0 score. The reviewer also mentioned he didn't play it for long. This sounds like a review that I can't go by. Unless I read about technical glitches or something, I'm still trying this one out.

Hey, from what I saw it looks good. Stealth/shooting games aren't usually my bag but I do make exceptions, e.g. Splinter Cell:Pandora Tomorrow and Ghost Recon. The fact that it has a 'ninja chick' (quoted from T.Tashi) intrigues me cos I like ninja games. I saw a preview of it on a DVD with Playstation World and it looked quite good so who cares about the reviews, it looks good. Everything or Nothing is better though!! EVERYTHING OR NOTHING ROCKS!!

I suggest getting Cy Girls for a cheap price if you ever want to pick the game up. It's not exactly worth $40.
