I was actually going to put this thread in General, but since there is like only one DDR game on another system, I put it here.

So, does anyone here play these kinds of games? Rythm games, that is. Since I realized that there are quite a few musicians here, I am assuming that some of you like these music games like I do. Games like Frequence/Amplitude, Gitaroo Man, Rez, Parappa the Rappa, Space Channel Five(demo), and Mad Meastro are some of the best games that I've played on the PS2(with the exception of Parappa the Rappa). They have great sound(yes, even the cheeze-techno and J-pop), wacky effects(for the stoner in all of us, or just me, heh, heh), a variety of difficulty, and super-addictive gameplay. I think that Amplitude is even online! Anyone it play online? If you do play these games, how good are you?

I also recently ordered me DDRMAX2 and a couple of DANCE PADS, and I was wondering if anyone has played the DDR games? I mainly got it so I could drop a few pounds(200 pounds at 6' 1 isn't too bad, but I'm starting to form a belly), but I'm sure I'll like it as much as I liked the arcade version, even though I've only played it once.

What about Karaoke Revolution? I've been thinking about getting this game, but some of the songs just turn me off from it. It's not that I can't sing those songs, it's just that I've heard them and they are ass. Maybe they should release a couple of cheap versions of this game that have specific genres for each version, instead of the usual top 40 crap that floats up. Anyways, is the headset reliable? You could use the Socom headset also. Do those things work as good as I hope?

There is also a game coming out sometime called Life Line, and it's supposed to use the headset as the main controlling device. You are someone that is in a room of cameras at a hotel or something, and you have to guide a person away from baddies and trap and such. The game is supposed to be able to recognize 15,000 words and five thousand phrases or something like that. Seems cool if they could pull it off right.
