http://www.angelgamer.com/

Im sure there is, I watched an article on TV regarding this buisness. Angelgamer appears to be for console gamers only.
Gotta link for PC biz like this?

Think of it; all the games you could play for $14.95 a month rental fee. No more buying games you dont like, hassles returning them to stores & a smaller gaming investment...The downside is obvious, you dont own the games [no, I couldnt bring myself to pirate a copy either].

MODERATOR: The site linked is one of your sponsors, Im not pimp'n here.

Looks great to me.......If you want to buy a console game but don't know if it's good or not - even after reading reviews, why not test it by renting it from angelgamer.com?

Unfortunately, I don't know any links for PC game renting. Even if I did, I don't think the link would be from one of the sponsors.

I would love to see a rental service for PC games, but in my opinion, if these services were provided, i believe PC game sales would decline dramatically. PC games are too easy to burn compared to console games.

You can rent them online... You get access to the games in a streaming content format, with passwords, and such, and play away. Not sure if it picked up in terms of sales, but I know a year or two ago, the industry was pretty gung-ho about it. It'll be pretty hard to steal anything, considering you still don't have access to the source files.

Not too sure actually. The last time I heard of this was that Blockbuster was thinking of doing it.

Why would I want to rent a game for $15/month, when I can play the demo for free?

This game-rental thing is a BAAAAAD, idea, at least for gamers.

Sounds like a plan by some people to "phase-out" free demos.
And if a game is really just a "beta", well, then don't pay for another month-its okay, they already got at least $15 for testing their Beta for them.
BWAHAHAHAHAH!

And what about if you want the game for the next five years, do you gotta pay $15 every month?

UGH, it sounds bad.

And, how about you rent for $3/day (or less), like the video stores with games.

Of course not, cuz then the game developers who push this idea would not make money.
If their game sucks, that's okay, you only rented it for a couple of bucks.
BAHAHAHAH!
I like that better.
NO, better yet, just play the demos or read the reviews.

Downloading demos can be a ***** sometimes.....even with 128 k modem or faster.

Now, when you click on a download link, 60% of the time - there's a page that shows up and says "Action Canceled" That just really boils my blood!

Another thing that I really hate is Fileplanet.com (where you have to wait in line to download). Most of the time, they tell you that you only have to wait in line for 5 minutes but it turns out being 15 minutes or longer. And then Fileplanet.com commercializes itself and says you don't have to wait in line if you sign up for their "Instant Download Server" but then a page shows up and demands money from you. What's up with that crap?

Of course, you could download demos and maybe even full version games on Kazaa but only God knows all the Spyware and junk that are hacking into your PC.

I don't know about Kazaa Lite and mIRC. You might be able to download things easier with those two systems since they're spyware-proof.

I totally agree with you about Fileplanet.com, i HATE that site!!!!!!!!
I usually go to 3dgamer.com but sometimes i can't find what i need. It seems that lately a lot of demos and file patches can only be found on gamespy.com and fileplanet.com (arn't they owned by the same company?), and you have to go through the hassles of signing up and remembering your passwords and stuff. Another thing that pisses me off is that when Fileplanet makes you wait, are they really "FULL"??? or are they just trying to get you annoyed into advancing to their premium paying service? I really wonder.

Man, I'll NEVER sign for that crap. What's even worse though? Gigex! They'll make you sign away your first born to download from them.
