Alright, whats the best "Live" game going. Last night I became "Live" enabled and played these games:

"MechAssault"
"Wolfenstein"
"Ghost Recon:Island Thunder"
"MotoGP Demo"

Had a blast with these, wondering what else I should want?

IMO, MotoGP 2 and Return To Castle Wolfenstein are the best online games available for Xbox Live.

MotoGP 1 demo was really cool. However, since it is a demo, you have a lot of guys who will ruin the game for you. A lot of idiots going around backwards trying to knock you off your bike. Also, there are glitches in the tracks. The second Moto GP has a lot of improvements for online play and 6 more tracks, and the second MotoGP has the single and multiplayer in one. All of the Live guys on this site are using Moto GP 2 instead of the first one.

Wolfenstien I don't play as much as Moto GP2, but when I get into a Wolfenstein game I'll play it for like 5 hours straight. The game is very addictive online.

Feel free to add me to your Friends list from your Xbox Live dashboard. I am Methadone Man.

It definately has me hooked in, especially because I'm a big race nut. I also like the fact that I've been conversing with you guys for a while now and feel like I already have some friends waiting to race with! :~) I will be adding you to my friends list for sure, and in case you didn't read my other thread my gamertag is MatrixArchitect (one word).

Just so you know, you'll be seeing myself as well as Glockstar and TheMaskedGamer quite a bit online the next few days. Tonight, for example, you'll probably see us on around midnight and 1 am times Eastern. Friday night (tomorrow), I'll be on at the same time and probably be able to stay on for several hours. Saturday and Sundays, we usually catch each other online a little earlier like 8 - 10 PM as well as the midnight - 1 am usual times, but this varies a lot.

(Just think, if you buy MotoGP 2 this afternoon, you'll be able to catch us on as early as tonight.)

Here's a list so you can recongize us,
(VGR name = Live Gamertag):
Darwin = Methadone Man
Glockstar = Mister Unlucky
ThaMaskedGamer= Phaze Velocity
Mass (formerly known as Massimodo) = stillfastasleep
KennyD = KennyD

BTW, if you don't mind me asking, what time zone are you in and what times do you anticipate being able to be online?

Tonight is a possibility, but that is late for me. I'm in MST and 1am eastern time is my latest, so before then is a possibility. I'm also going out of town tomorrow afternoon, so Sunday/Monday looks best. My best times will be after 9:00pm to 11:00pm MST. Unfortunately, I'm father to 4 so consistancy before then is hard. But I want to play too! :~) You'll see me, rest assured!

If I had to pick only one title for the "Best XBL games" it would have to be between MotoGP2 and RTCW - and that is a very tough call to make... but I would prolly have to go with Wolfenstein, which may come as a bit of a surprise, considering that the MGP's are among my top 5 fave. games of all time.

Both, RTCW and MGP2, are incredibly hard to turn off once you get going though. It's a real problem.

The other on-line titles I have are Midtown Madness 3, which I like a lot as well, and Ghost Recon (though I've never even been online with it yet).

I had MechAssault but did not like it. Same with Unreal Championship.

I'm going to get Outlaw Volleyball (one of these days), but I'm really looking forward to Crimson Skies! And Links 2004. And PGR2.

And the guys tell me I need to pick up Pro Race Driver Online when that comes out too.

Well, obviously I like Return to Castle Wolfenstien the most but from others I have played...you can't go wrong with Unreal Championship...especially since it's only 20$ now! MOTO GP1&2 are deep as the deepest ocean but I don't have the patience for it not only that but I've never really been much of a fan of racing games.

If you like shooters and find one at a decent price, try Soldier of Fortune 2, which has a HORRIBLE single player game, but meets realism between Ghost Recon and RTCW juuuuust right...it moves slower than RTCW but faster than GR and I've not found hardly any laggy games. It's not a perfect game by any means, but if I found it for 30$ I'd pick it up.
