which is the best Final Fantasy?

okay ill be honest. i can't pick which Final Fantasy is the best. i just want opinions

Never played a FF game.

I am curious too which is the "best" also.

I have no experience with it.... but I have heard some say FF7 is the best.

I may just try and play one of the old ones if they are worth it since it seems I will be playing FF11 as it is coming pre-installed on the PS2 HDD, which I plan to purchase.

Might as well get into some of the "history" of the game by trying some of the early ones.

I almost bought an old PS1 FF at Gamestop the other day... was a good price for a 4 disc game, but i was unsure if it was really worth playing so I passed. Can't remember which FF it was atm.

meagher72 i recommend picking up ff7 i believe its the best game ever made and i would also recommend final fantasy tactics which is also a beautiful game. ff8 i think totally blows...i hated just about everything about that game it only had a couple redeeming qualities. ff9 was ok but it wasnt good enough to make me play it again. final fantasy 10 pissed me off in a couple ways...it was an ok game but moving those goddamn orbs in the temples got old real quick. and tidus definetly competes with squall (ff8) for dumbest main character ever. the whole blitzball concept really sucked. so thats my opinion on the newer generation ff games...some of the older ones were a lot of fun as well. but i just havent been impressed by them in a long time. want a good rpg? i suggest picking up arc the lad twilight of the spirits. youll be glad you did i think.
