Nintendo bundles Zelda: Four Swords up
Two Zelda games--Legend of Zelda: Four Swords and The Legend of Zelda: Tetra's Trackers--will now be released as a single title, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus.
TOKYO--In the latest edition of Nintendo Dream magazine, Nintendo revealed that it will be releasing The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords and The Legend of Zelda: Tetra's Trackers together on a single disc. The disc, which will be named The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus, will also contain a new game called The Legend of Zelda: Shadow Battle.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords was announced at E3 as one of the two Zelda titles that will take advantage of the GameCube's connectivity with the GBA. Now called The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Adventure, the game uses the TV as the field map, and the GBA display as the action screen when walking into buildings or caves. For players without a GBA, the in-field view will be displayed on a separate window on the TV screen. Up to four players can participate in Hyrule Adventure.
The Legend of Zelda: Tetra's Trackers was the second E3-announced title with GC/GBA connectivity. Now renamed The Legend of Zelda: Navi Trackers, the game will feature a speech navigation system that talks, advising to the player during mini-games such as a stamp rally or bingo. By typing in the player's name before starting out, the speech engine will call the player by name during the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Shadow Battle is a battle-royale survival game, where four different versions of Link will fight each other to the finish. The stages will include a number of tricks that can be used to strategically defeat opponents in the game.
Since the Zelda series has traditionally been a single-player game, the games will also have extensive solo modes. For example, Hyrule Adventure comes with its own storyline, and Navi Trackers will pit a Tingle on a balloon against the player.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus is slated for a February release in Japan.

I'm a little confused. Is this a Gamecube game or a Gameboy Advance game on a GCN disc? Sounds kind of fun, but I don't have a GBA.
I'm hoping for the Wind Waker 2 announcement. Like how Majora's Mask was the sequal to OoT. Same game engine and graphics and everything, but a whole new game! If this is in fact another Gamecube game that uses the Gameboy Advance to play I'll have to add it to the same list Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is on.

Man...I can't believe you don't have a GBA(SP). Some of the best gaming I've done this year has been on my SP.
Metroid Zero Mission alone is worth it.

Yea, I'm thinking about getting the GBA/GCN adapter. Along with the Metroid games I'd like to get some old school Mario games. I have the Sonic Mega Collection and play it all the time. I can't get enough of that old school 2D platforming action!

The Gameboy player is a great investment. . . if you don't game on the the go a lot, I'd recommend it over a GBA. I've played Final Fantasy CC, Metroid Fusion, Advanced Wars, and Zelda: Link to the Past on it to name a few.
I don't have an SNES anymore, and it was great to play Link to the Past again on a big screen, with the added benefit of the comfy analog wireless wavebird.
I know somepeople might think its a waste of time to play such "lo-tech" games when there's flashy stuff like Ninja Gaiden out there, but for pure game design and addictive fun and replay value, Advanced Wars is one of the best games of this generation.
There are many more GBA games I consider "must plays" that I haven't got yet, like Mario and Luigi Superstar, Metroid Zero Mission, Sword of Mana, the two Castlevania games, and Warioware, inc.
That little fifty dollar purchase of the GBA player will open you up to a whole new world of brilliant old-school style games.

The Gameboy player is a Great investment. Forget buying a 180$ Ps2 or Xbox. Buy a Gamecube plus a gameboy player for 50$ and its still less. The best gaming I've done this year has been on the gameboy,. With games like Advance wars 1 and 2, Boktai The Sun is in Your Hands,3 Castlevanias, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Fire Emblem, Some old Mario Games plus Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, and Fire Emblem its worth every penny.

How did you use the Gameboy player in FFCC? I know you can play it multiplayer by hooking it up to the GBA SP but what benefits do you get when you play the game with the gameboy player?

There are no gameboy player benefits for it. I personally don't have a GBA player, but I know its useless with FF:CC. It purely meant for adapter, which I got for free when I preordered FF. Between my friends we have six adapters and we've been hittin up FF:CC everyweekend.
As for the fourswords, I just found out that the one for the GBA is a demo and that the real one was always meant to come to the GCN. I don't know if fourswords is gonna be all that tight though, cuz I played it with my friend on our GBA's the other day and I got extremely bored, of course it just might not be my kind of game.

Apparently they have removed the mini game Navi's Trackers from the US version of this game.Click here for the article (http://www.nintendojo.com/infocus/view_item.php?1080096695)
