View Full Version : When can I get my PSX?

I know there has been discussion about the next incantation of PlayStation showing up late this year. Where can I find out more? And will the next version of Grand Turismo be for PS2 or PSX?

As for Gran Turismo 4, it is scheduled to ship in January 2004 for PS2. I doubt there will be much info on the availability of PSX games.

Anyone else heard any PSX rumors??

crap i have 6 pics of the psx from a convention or something in japan but i cant upload the pics. can i have some help. and why didnt they call it the playstation 3?

it's not the PS3 buddy. It's the PS2.5...If it is priced right, I may purchase it but if it is as poorly constructed in design as the current PS2 hardware I'll not be a PSX customer!

why didnt they call it the playstation 3?

I think they called it PSX instead of PS3 because the letter "X" is always used to represent extreme, cool things

i got some pics but they are on my computer and not the internet. how do you get the pics from my comp to the forum.

No, they called it PSX because it isn't the PS3. It's a PS2 with extra abilities.

There is no way in hell I see paying damn near $700-$800 dollars for a PS2 trying to be passed off as an Xbox.A DVD recorded alone cost about $500 hundred dollars by itself.Then you throw in the rest and you are talking about a pricetag of what a CDI and a 3DO costed.

Maybe Sony should do with the PSX what the developers of the Phantom is doing.And thats allowing gamers to order it online instead of trying to push these consoles on the shelf.I doubt Sony will sell 100 of these things if it comes stateside.Plus the real funny part about this thing is that it wont make enhance the gameplay of PS2 games by any means either.It'll still look and play the same like they would on the regular PS2.Only an imbecile would pay this kind of money for this.

I say why? When you can just wait till the PS3 arrives.
