Trivial, maybe, but this caught my attention while shopping on ebay tonight:

I can see the Antiques Road Show reviewing this gem in another 100 years, lol.

If you were to take a screwdrive to it I bet you'd find Perry Farrell's drugs stashed inside.

Now THAT's just sad.....
I don't see this one going above the price of a normal Xbox...I mean really, who would care about a Jane's Addiction autograph...except maybe those stuck permanently in the early 90's.

I'd always thought of Janes Addiction as an 80's band that lingered on into the early 90's. Anyway, if I wanted some musicians old game system, I'd get Mike Patton's Dreamcast.
Im not one to pay extra money for a product due to celebs association w/it, however, some autographed "stuff" does increase in value as time goes by. Consider for example having an old Atari autographed by the Beattles: hows a starting bid of $80, 000 sound?

The Beatles are a world-reknowned band that reached heights of stardom and acclaim that others can only dream of. If Jane's Addiction were a stormcloud, The Beatles would be a global hurricane, both in popularity and talent.
But who knows, maybe the Jane's Addiction Xbox will be worth $500 in 2075..heh...
I do agree though, a lot of celeb autographed items do increase in value, some ridiculously so. But if there is any sanity left in the world, this Xbox won't gain a cent of value.

Yes, I should apologize for mentioning the Beattles & Janes Addiction in the same conversation, lol.
These two groups are indeed worlds apart, especially in "staying" power.
[I heard there are three Xboxs out there autographed by Mr. Bill himself, likely rumor?]

A thread about a Jane's Addiction XBOX?? I found that kind of odd so I decided to read the posts.
Weird, the post was originated by one of the moderators. The top portion of the thread contains some advertising. I suppose Videogamereview needs to make money - so far so good.
Stranger yet, the advertisements listed in this thread offer two different offers for Jane's Addiction merchandise.
Is this a coincidence or a blatant advertising kiss from videogamereview to its sponsers?
Sorry to sound like Mulder, but I find this to be interesting none the less.
Regarding a Jane's XBOX - who cares? Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, and the rest of the band can't sell an album on their own without getting the "boys" back together and putting out another sub-par Jane's Addiction album. I used to be a huge fan but are a little bitter with how commercialized this band has become (hence the autographed XBOX).
A Mike Patton Dreamcast? Now that I would gladly pay some ching for. Mike Patton RULES!!!!

The advertising you're referring to is content sensitive. It scans the page and then links to relevant advertisers. We don't have Jane's Addiction memorabilia dealers lining up to advertise on VideogameREVIEW.com. That would be just plain weird.
I'd pay fifty cents for Fifty Cent's Playstation 2
