Okay, there are Mushroom, Flower and Star? 12 tracks? Please tell me there are more and if there are, how do I earn them? I already beat the 100C cup and all I got was a new kart? Is there a rainbow cup? Anyone please help me? Thanks! Toodles.

I'm pretty sure there is a Rainbow Cup. I believe you have to get a gold in all three classes in all three tournements. But I haven't unlocked it yet. I haven't beaten the 150cc Star Cup yet. So close that I'm just about to throw my controller through the TV with frustration.
One thing I do know though, is that after you beat the 150cc Flower Cup it opens up a new battle arena. Other than that, all the Gold Trophies unlock new cars.
I never did read the instruction manual, so there were things you may already know if you did, but that I discovered on accident. I guess I expected it to be the same as the other Mario Kart, so I never really checked to see what was new. But you can get a turbo as you round corners if you over steer and then understeer while holding the drift button. When you are driffting around a corner with the shoulder button, you'll see red sparks. When you do that steering thing correctly, the sparks will turn blue. When they do stop drifting and you'll boost.
Also, I accidentally discovered that if you have no weapon, you can still hit the weapon button if you are near another kart, and the guy in back will punch the Kart near you (or in yoshi's case, whack it with his tongue.)
Hope you are having as much fun with this game as I am. The co-op mode has been way more fun than I had expected. Have you had many people play this with you yet? I recall you said you had all the stuff necessary for system link. How is that?

I just hope there is more than just 12 tracks. Other than that, this is my favorite game right now, I have two Gamecubes and have it hooked up to two TV's, it is so great, people need to quit ripping on Mario Kart.
