old school game wont play

nuclear strike wont play on my pc... cause of XP?? any way around it or any way to get it playing??

Have you tried the compatibilty mode?
And try to play it as Win 98 or 95?
That's all I can think of.

First off, how far does it get? Does it not boot at all, or does it cut out at a certain point? Give us some more info here, we'll be able to help you out better.

my bad... i can install the game and its ok up to that point... i double click the icon to get the game going, and thats where it ends... nothing happens except the whole error send/dont send message pops up for NS... thats all i can do

Hmm..

Have you tried reinstalling the game by any chance? Patch it? Also, did you try and do what T3KTON said and run it in compatibility mode?
