Gamespy seems to be dropping a few not-so-subtle hints about the release of the Deus Ex 2 demo. Hmm...we'll find out this Thursday.

It certainly sounds like it... It may also have something to do with MoH or CoD as well- maybe a new demo release?

That sounds alot more like Deus Ex 2 to me. The future war on terror bit is a big marketing line for the game..

Sure enough, what we're about to get is the Deux Ex 2 demo!

There's the good news, the bad news is that Eidos has gone over Ion Storm's head and has delayed the demo for reasons unknown. No word on if this delay is temporary (It might still be released later today for instance) or if they'll hold on to it til after the game is released.

Either way the demo is ready to roll out..we just gotta wait for the publisher to give the thumbs up.

As tempting as a Deus Ex2 demo may be, Im gonna insulate myself from it & any spoilers till I get my full version.

Just got the official reason for the delay...Gamespy.Update: Worthplaying comes home with the prize for discovering what has happened. Official word is that the Ez Pad (or similar) software has caused the technical problem described in the C&VG story. Ez Pad is used to make sure that other sites can't mirror their version of a demo as an account is needed with FilePlanet to activate and unlock the demo. So, everyone can now blame FilePlanet and their policy, for delaying this eagerly anticipated demo.Yup, Fileplanet got it first and pretty much locked everyone else out from getting it. I'm guessing Ion Storm wasn't too happy about this and thus even GS doesn't have the demo up at the moment. Talk about dumb...

I find it so stupid that Ion Storm releases it for everyone to play then Eidos turns right around and delays it so Gamespy can have the exclusive rights to the demo..I figured they learned their lesson from the situation with Call of Duty.

Major improvement on JC & bro Paul, hope thats the actual skins we get in Invisible War.

You've probably seen a few already, the 2 they show the most are the spiky haired Alex D and the female Alex with the pinkish hair. But they give you a huge amount of choices on what he looks like...male or female, black or white, or..

Man, it's amazing this thread isn't getting more hits. It's the damn Deus Ex 2 demo for gods sake, I figured everyone around here would be on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich. ;)

But finally...some good news. (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27735) It IS coming out tonight, it ISN'T gonna be a Fileplanet exclusive and it'll clock in at about 270 meg. Start counting down the minutes, folks. It'll be here soon. :D

Afterall, youre talking about a contender for GotY. A game thats been anticipated by many, as noted in other threads here.

Got on after a few minutes retry, tried to post & again "site busy" notice.
I guess its the DE fever, either you got it or you dont.

Damn those Fileplanet bastards. Damn them to Hades forever. Oh and is today the 20th, I dont know where my calendar is.

No tease, Im a big fan RG. Waiting for Deus Ex 2 is like waiting for Xmas.

Its nearly 10:P.M. pacific time, Im in stitches reading all the hype & anticipation regarding Invisible War demo on the web....
The Eidos site is clogged, users claim extreme wait times & rejected entries.
I finally got on:
The Deus Ex thread [DE Demo] you linked has @ this time has received Six thousand, nine hundred seventy hits & counting!
The demo is no where in sight, yet.

[We are not alone in the awaiting the next war on terror!]

According to one of the devs over at Ion Storm, Gamespy has had the demo for about 5 hours now...they dunno why they're not releasing it though.

It's odd, either way it'll definately be here by tomorrow.
