Hey, i just installed the Multi Theft Auto for Vice City on my computer and i've been pretty impressed so far. For those that don't know, Multi Theft Auto is a mod that enables GTA VC to be played online.

Surprisingly, the whole VC map is available in MTA, which kinda blew me away. There's no pedestrians or traffic, but cars are parked all over the city for easy access. The cool thing is, you can have friends jump into cars or ride on the back of motorcycles when cruising through town.

There's two types of maps that i've found so far, a standard deathmatch, or stunt track. Upon entering the deathmatch servers, you have to pick a race/occupation, which spawns you in distinct areas with assigned weapons. Each race/occupation has it's "allies" and "enemies", therefor, if your a cop, your natural instinct would be to take down robbers and vise versa.

The stunt tracks are nothing really special, except that many ramps are all over the city. There's generally no killing (except when you get run over), so you just run around and show off your "mad skillz".

But not is all great, MTA is a buggy mod, and you will find yourself starring at a frozen screen many times through out the night, forcing you to reboot every half an hour. Another big problem is how Hackers are EVERYWHERE in the game, which totally takes all the fun away from the legit players.

But all in all, if you own GTA VC, i think you should definitely check out this mod, i'm usually playing in my friends server "Let's Roll" (from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM Pacific Time) through the All Seeing Eye service (it's like Game Spy, that's what i was told to use by other people playing MTA.)

I've been having a lot more fun playing in the Stunt servers. The deathmatch servers are plagued with cheaters/hackers that have infinite ammo and health...

I just really do not understand cheaters..... I mean how can that be fun?

WTF is raising theses kids?

Why even play a game if you are going to cheat?

Seriously... it boggles my mind.

Maybe I am old-school or somthing... dunno, but it really mystifies me.

hey

if you see someone cheat on a server, just try to contact the owner and give him/her some proof.

If the cheaters keeps on playing, go join another server.

There are 140+ server on this page => http://mtaservers.tv2knet.net/ (http://mtaservers.tv2knet.net)

it really mystifies me.

Me too. The only thing I can think of is the people are bored and just want to goof around for an hour or two (hell, I'd do it to), but unfortunately, when you have a game that's open to thousands of players, 24/7, you're bound to run into a few "bored" people constantly... It primarily one of the main reasons I direct connect to play games online.
