Dude, this game has been out for weeks! I've already played through it twice! It's even better than Metriod Prime!

Just kidding. I don't the answer to your questions. But I do know one thing:

I must play Metroid Prime 2…

You heard wrong. Metroid Prime only came out late last year so a Nintendo sequel this early is out of the question. However, Nintendo has said that Metroid Prime 2 is in development and it will most likely be out sometime in 2004.

I'm predicting a Holiday 2004 release for Metroid Prime 2.

While you are waiting for Metroid Prime's sequel, if you love the Metroid Universe from way back, playing the GBA Metroid games are awesome, especially if you play them not on the GBA, but on the Gameboy Player. Metroid Fusion looks and sounds beautiful on the television, a truly worthy sequel to the SNES Super Metroid. Good, old school 2-D action.

And Metroid Zero Missions is coming out very soon for GBA. . . it takes up where the story in the original Metroid game left off. This one may well be more free-form and even more true to the original Metroid style of gameplay than Metroid Fusion was. And like Fusion, it will undoubtedly be better played on the big screen than on the cramped and tiny GBA.

After 8 years with no Metroid games, this has been a wonderful time for Metroid fans.

I hope Nintendo doesn't try to hold off releasing a new Metroid for their next game system. With the increased sales, I hope they get it through their heads that they need to make sure there's a variety of games for these new GC owners to play, and release the game sometime next year.

Listen to my mini-rant. :D

I think it's imperative that Nintendo has a strong holiday line-up for 2004. That's why I think MP2 will be released then. Nintendo can always hold off the Zelda sequel for then next system anyways.

naaa, soz mate but it aint happening. nintendo are due to make another handheld to surpasss the psp, however they will not bee making anymore consoles, they will however remain making sofware. i dont understand why they are doing., this but it may be becasue there was a large lack in sales across the world on the gamecube.

btw i have metroid fuzion it rocks. bit hard though.

I have a feeling there will be another Zelda before Metroid Prime 2. With the engine from Wind Waker, they can always throw one together for a late 2004 release.

After so much neglect, it is nice to see the franchise get some serious love.

While Metroid Prime kicked infinite ass, I was disappointed by Fusion...too short and linear for me. Hopefully Zero Mission will be better in that regard.

As for Metroid Prime 2....late 2004 can't come fast enough :D

True dat. But you could say the same thing about MP2 - throwing one together based on the MP engine.

I'd rather they don't throw either of them together though. It will be better if they take their sweet time and do it right.

I liked Fusion. A lot. I thought it was too short too until I finished it and had only 54% of the total items found. I think if you take the time to find every last item and get that 100% it will take quite a bit longer. A beautiful game, in any respect. I'm looking forward to Zero Mission.
