Look at the number of threads in the Xbox section......
Look at the numbers of our threads.......
HTF is that possible?
I mean we PS2 boys (and girls ;)) rule all....... and a hell of alot more people own PS2s vs. Xboxs.
I mean HTF could there be more to talk about with Xbox over the PS2?
I can understand PC users talking more than us due to the fact they sit in front of their PCs 22 hours a day, but Xboxers out talking us?
NO WAY!

Awww...don't be :( , be :D .
Actually, it has always been like this, especially in the old forums. For some reason, there are not a lot of games being talked about here vs the Xbox forum. (It would be even worse if the Morrowind threads from last year and the Star Wars: KOTOR threads from this year were included.) I think the PS2 games are talked about more in the General Discussion forum, due to the amount of multiplatform titles being released this year.

Oh PLEASE.
Look...Xbox gamers around here 1.Have more time to post because they don't have enough to play and 2.Are busy trying their best to help promote the Xbox.
PS2 doesn't need promotion and there are just too many games to play.
(hehe)
But seriously, it means nothing. If you go to the Magicbox forums, the Gamecube section is beating the PS2 section, and DESTROYING the Xbox section.
This site is only a pocket of the gaming community at large...a pocket that happens to have a substantial amount of loud-mouth Xbots in comparison to other gamers around here.

LOL, that's so true.
I still get a laugh, everytime Darwin or someone mentions the number of posts in the X-box forum as opposed to those in the PS2 forum to prop up the X-box.

I wouldn't mind seeing more games being talked about here than game systems. That gets old pretty fast. Speaking of games, has anyone played Prince of Persia, any version?

That one rose my curisoty too.
Haven't played it yet.
Too many games on my to get list atm, and it only has a one player mode.
I have too many one player games that I have yet to finish sitting on my shelf already, can't justify buying anymore for awhile.
It does sound good though.... might pick it up late after price drops and if the reviews are not too bad.

I think it's like Twelve said, it's just the people that come to this site.
Waitaminute... 'loud-mouth Xbots'!?! :p
But seriously, though I'd like to say that it's because we Xbots just have more to talk about, that still doesn't explain why there's hardly talking here in the P2 forum.
There's tons of stuff to talk about with the XBox. Why, even the system itself sparks conversations - what with all of it's "special features" and whatnot. Like: the harddrive (i.e. storage capacity), the system upgrades (e.g. the newest dashboard that now shows you which friends are online, and what they're playing), custom soundtracks ('nuff said), and in-game Dolby Digital and HDTV support. It's just neat stuff to talk about. Especially for newly converted Xbots. It's common to see new XB owners come into the forum all happy and excited, and starting up a thread about all of the cool things that they just discovered.
But the PS2 isn't totally bereft of features, nor add ons or peripherals... it's just that the coppertops of this website don't really seem to care about them. The PS2 biased posters of this website seem like they are heavily into J-RPG's and fighting games - and not much else. I can tell you with absolute certainty that they are not into multi-player games, or modes. So I'm afraid you might be alone here, m72. (Don't worry, RBH, Darwin, and other multi-system owners like myself will (try) and keep you company. Just know that it might be tough sometimes, what with all of the great XB games that we have to buy and play.)
See, us XBots on the other hand... we love to talk about videogames. :D
Especially about XBox Live. As you can see, there's constant posting about XBox Live stuff in our forum. XBL is like a whole 'nother community for gamers, really.
But of course there's more multi-player gaming going on for the XB than just XBL. The system comes ready for 4 controllers to be plugged into it - unlike the P2 - and there's a much higher ratio of multi-player games. These things are not lost on XBox owners - or potential XBox owners - just as they are not lost on the publishers of vg's. Addtionally, there are more first party titles by M$ that are multi-player, than are released by $ony.
And it's easy to see that $ony puts more effort into their single-player games. Just look at their big titles of this year: The Getaway, Dark Cloud 2, Primal, Jak II, R&C2... all 1-player only. Contrarily, there's only two 2+player games that were/are noteworthy: War of the Monsters and (especially) Socom II.
Heck, I don't know about you, but I only have to look at my own collections to confirm this. Of the 11 PS2 games that I have, 7 are 1-player only! But of the 33 XB games that I have (not counting Music Mixer), 23 say they are for 1 or more players. And that's not counting Buffy - which says 1-P on the box, but is actually MP... via cheat code.
I'm sure my comments here will cause a backlash... but I just think that the PS2 is a much... lonelier console. It's the system of solitude.
------
Oh btw, meagher... I don't know if you picked up Time Crisis 3 yet, but I thought I should still try and warn you about the 2-player co-op mode...
Unless you're going to do it thru system link... DON'T!
For some stupid azz reason they shrink both players viewscreens in two-player coop - to areas that are barely bigger than if the screen was split 4-ways! Why the heck they don't use the full tv screen I'll never know... but you can forget about trying to hit anything with the light gun in this split-screen mode... the targets are miniscule!
It's still a great game, but it's not the 9.9 that I thought it was. More like... a 9.0. Like any great arcade game, there's a "leader board", so it's still a fun game for two (or more) people - you just have to alternate play. (Unless, of course, you wanna try the system link thing.)

Thanks.... I hope you guys can keep me company or we can all convince my PS2 bros that multi-play is da bomb. ;) :D
Also I think you may be right.... seems to be a ton of 1 player games for the PS2... maybe Sony will change this trend. Seems like more co-op mode games are coming out... LoR:Return of the King, etc.
------------------
Yup.. already picked up Time Crisis 3.. still a great game, but I too was disappointed by the co-op.
It might either have somthing to do with the i-link... a need to keep the picture ratio the same.. or they just didn't want to do additional programming to adjust to picture ratio change in split screen mode.... not sure.
Takes it from a 10 to maybe a 9.4 or 9.2 for me.....I love the game.

The best duo since the Sega Genesis/SNES days. The PS2 is the most popular console and the Xbox is the most powerful. The GC is the cheapest and most fun console with no extras.

Yes it is apparent you are indeed a 12 year old with alot to learn.
1.Is false.Xbox gamers has plenty of great games to play.Offline and online.
2.Also is false.Xbox owners doesnt have to promote the Xbox.Everyone knows what the Xbox is.Its the most powerful game console on the planet. The GC nor the PS2 can do the things it can do.Bottom line.
Yes the PS2 has plenty of games to play. But so does the GC.And the Xbox.Mass quantity doesnt always equal mass quality either.Remember that.
And there is a forum called "The Magic Box?" LOL! No wonder its filled with GC owners. They probably are only 8 and up.Of course 12 goes there to talk to other kids that doesnt have a clue about the videogame world.
Besides I own a PS2 and an Xbox.I'm glad to own them both. However lets face the truth here:Lately Xbox owners has more to talk about than PS2 owners.PS2 heads loves to talk about sales numbers and how far ahead of the game Sony is over everyone else.Xbots loves to talk about the games that makes the Xbox a great console period.
Other than that I think its funny as hell that Xbots runs this forum while PS2 owners wince.LOL! I love it.

Not only is this game a must buy but its definately one of my top picks for action/adventure game of the year.No ifs, ands,or buts about it.A must buy for Xbox owners,PS2 owners, and GC owners.

Personally, I don't really care to tell people, other than my close freinds, how much I love a game. I mean, I do it sometimes, but I can't do it consistantly like those xbox people. Hell, don't you ever wonder why people don't talk about Socom consider it's one of most popular online game in the industry now? Even that motop or whatever-it's-called racing game gets talked about by some people in the Xbox forum....but then again, who cares?

In the Xbox forum we hardly even talk about the PS2.But yet in the PS2 forum why are you guys always talking about us?
Dont hate because SOCOM I & II,Everquest, and Madden the only online games for the PS2 that people play. While XBL has more than enough games to quench real gamers thrist including the PC's megastar COUNTER-STRIKE!!!
People dont talk much about SOCOM mainly because um....Cheat codes perhaps?
