Rome Total War

I just noticed in "Current Release Dates" that RTW was supposedly released on 11/8. However, Electronic Boutique did a search for me and said June 2004 is the release date. The Total War website says Fall 2004 -- obviously the athoritative source, but they don't update often. Does anyone know the real scoop on when this game will be released.

Release date seems to far out @ this point to nail down, suffice it to say fall '04 is concensus among most game sites.
Diehards of Total War series are getting impatient, having been given numerous release dates prior for RTW, of which none have come to past :(

Strategy graphics keep getting better 'n better! ;)

Anyone who lives in the UK will have been able to see the game (more or less) in action over the past 6-8 weeks. There's a show on BBC2 called "Time Commanders" (terrible title) which is based around the Rome: Total War game engine and challenges contestants to take command of an army in some closely fought historical battles to see if they could do any better or somesuch. The graphics do indeed look great... If only the same could be said for the strategies the teams put into play...
