I was looking at the demo and had to hold back the tears... I could just imagine what my neighbors would think of me if they accidentally saw me playing the so called "games" using this device and dancing around the living room...

The first time I saw a commericial for it the only words that popped into my head was"why?" This thing looks to be as big a waste as the PSX will be.And yes I agree,I wouldnt be caught dead by my neighbors playing with it in my living room.

I'd file the Eye-Toy in with such games as DDR and Samba de Amigo...games that are fun for people who aren't self-conscious and don't care what others think about them. Still...the thing looks like too much of a novelty to be worth the cash.

I can undersatnd not being into stuff like Eye Toy and DDR...but hating on it because you're scared of being caught playing it?!

Sad isn't it? Sony has become so arrogant now they could release a turd in a box and give it a good commercial and it would sell millions. ANyway, I think it's sad that the PS2's killer app this holiday season is a webcam with templates. Really, how pathetic can you get? Sony LOVEs milking the ignorant.

Another thing you must concider is why would PS2 release something, that a PC has already exelled in? Seriously here, PS2 is releasing something thats not very good compared to the ones you can get for pretty much any PC, not to mention, PC can put it to way better usage.

Well... piece of garbage or no... the EyeToy has actually been quite a success already. It's been a Top 10 bestseller in the U.K for (over?) 5 weeks now. And I'd be willing to bet anything that, come tomorrow, we'll find it listed in their Top 20 (at least) again for a sixth straight week.
