I always wonder if the games that look kiddie are gonna be lame or a helluva lotta fun. I mean, the Simpsons looks kiddie cause it’s a cartoon, but everyone knows it’s a good show no matter what age you are. Are there any games out there that look kiddie but are actually really cool? I think these are cool:
Animal Crossing - http://www.animal-crossing.com/
Munch’s Oddysee - http://www.oddworld.com/ow_frameset.html
I-Ninja - http://www.ininjagame.com/ (not out yet, but it looks pretty cool. C’mon now, who can beat fingertip push-ups!)

Pretty much the whole Mario series looks kiddie, but are usually lots of fun to play. Also, lets not go back to the first time I saw screen shots for Wind Waker. I almost fell out of my chair. But it turned out to be a great game.

And as for the Simpsons, its a cartoon yes, but it has tons of political references, sexual connotations and so forth that would go right over a child's head. Most kids can't appreciate the humor in the Simpsons. Perhaps the same can be said for some games...

I haven't played Wind Walker. I'll have to check that one out. I'm particularly excited about I-Ninja for a couple of reasons; one, it just looks like a fun game. second, they're going to give away a free copy of Pac-Man Vs. to anyone who buys a copy of I-Ninja. I just read about Pac-Man Vs., it's a great multiplayer idea; One player (on the GBA) controls Pac-Man, while three other players (on the GameCube) will control the ghosts and attempt to track down Pac-Man. The Player who catches Pac-Man then becomes the dot-gobbler.

Only one I got is a lil old school, but not too old.

Bad Fur Day was an awesome game... not sure about the one player mode since I did not play it as much as the multi-player mode, but let me tell you.... the multi-player was a BLAST.

I and my friends never had so much fun as steering those homicidaly bent stuffed animals.

Too bad the PS2 sequel Fur Fighters sucks ass and is no where near as fun as the N64 game.

Like alot of these sequel minded games they are saving the cool multi player modes and other cool stuff that most gamers want for later sequels trying to milk the market for as long and for as much as possible......

LoR3 is a great example........

All the people that bought the first two games in the series got duped into buying a game that really was only in production and did not reach it's true potential until the third game in the series.

Dynasty Warriors is the same....... not a bad game but do not buy any version except DW4.... the games before 4 are good games do not get me wrong but you will regret not having the two player co-op mode.

Anyways, forgive my ramblings.......

Bad Fur Day looked kiddie on the box but it was a rocking game.
