I know some like Glock like to prepare by watching some creepy movies. I had never seen the Saw movies until recently, so I decided to start those this week. I saw the first two. Pretty damn gruesome.

Working. But I get off at 8pm so the wife and I will probably end up watching some scary movies.
I remember I went to a fetish ball one Halloween and a film crew was there doing a documentary. So there was some freaky stuff going on. So one of the guys from a band playing there and one of his backup dancers found their way to a futon, and he started pouring candle wax on her. She was topless btw. The director, some older guy with an ascot was screaming, "where's my cameraman!?" and threw his hands up in the air in frustration. That was the best Halloween party ever.

I'll be handing out candy to the little ones that come to the door. That and watching A Nightmare Before Christmas (an annual Halloween tradition for the wife and I). I just watched it a couple weeks back when we rented the blu-ray version but to honor the tradition, I'm sure we'll fire it up again Friday night. That and Evil Dead 2. I make her watch that one. :)
EDIT- have a great gig CK!!

Yep, I like to watch scary movies, play scary videogames, listen to scary music, fill my house with the smell of pumpkin spice (via various aromatherapies), eat pumpkin donuts and pumpkin pie Blizzards, and eat the Halloween-colored Peanut M&M's the entire month.
I don't really get into the parties and whatnot. One of my bestest friends was born on October 31st, so we usually do something on Halloween tho'.
So far I've watched 12 scary movies this "season". Pretty good I think, especially considering my Rainbow Six addiction.
The Good: Wolf Creek; Saw IV; and Saw III.
The Bad: Shallow Ground; The Grudge 2. (These movies weren't just bad, they were gawd awful.)
The Meh: Turistas; Dead Silence; Nightwatch.
I can't believe you've never seen the Saw movies, CK! Man, I LOVE the first two. A couple of years ago I went thru a Saw phase, that wasn't too dissimilar from the Rainbow Six phase that I'm going thru now. And I'm not at all confined to watching them during scary movie month. In fact, to me they are more like Fight Club and The Matrix than they are horror movies. All that said, I just now saw Saw IV for the first time. (The "season" was just an excuse to finally make it happen.) I liked it a ton, and watched it twice during my rental period. And it made me want to go back and re-watch Saw III - which I did not like. It felt mean-spirited and seemed dull witted, and I did not like the direction they took with it at all. But after seeing it again... I like it now. I really like it. And get it now.
I counted among the 12 "movies" I've seen this October, four Masters of Horror episodes. Two I rented off the Xbox Live Marketplace, and two (the only two they carry) I rented from my local video rental store. Cigarette Burns; Pelts; Jenifer; and The Black Cat. I've never seen any of the MOH's before. Heck, I'd never even heard of them before. Thanks to The Marketplace, as they were all good! I probably won't see another one this year, but I hope that Microsoft does another Shocktober next year and offers them again then.
Been listening to the usual music I Iisten to every October and Halloween. Which of course means getting stuck on the Ravenous Soundtrack for a solid two weeks or so. The only thing different is I'm skipping the TNBC soundtrack this year. Don't really know why; I just am.
As you might have guessed, I haven't played a single scary videogame yet this month. And I swore I'd finish Return To Castle Wolfenstein this year too. Oh well, I'm not worried; now that I'm all finished with Rainbow Six 3 I'm ready to move on to Wolfenstein. I will hit it tonite - as soon as I finish with this post actually - and believe that I can finish it before the month ends. Still, I really wanted to finish MediEvil Resurrection this year too... and I'm not going to get to that one at all. Damn Rainbow Six.
Hey, speaking of Rainbow Six :p : The bestest friend that I mentioned earlier is actually working Halloween night so I'm staying in. Gonna watch one last movie (it's either going to be Disney's Haunted Mansion or Rob Zombie's Halloween - I've already got them rented, now just have to choose the order in which I watch them), and then I hope to play some Rainbow Six Vegas. Shocker I know. No, I'm trying to get my Vegas buds - or the one's that are also staying in Friday night - to play Michael Myers all night. You know, in the spirit of the holiday.
Good luck with your gig, CK.

Last year, I was at a Halloweed party at work. I dressed up as the Punisher, since it was the cheapest thing I could do (Punisher shirt from mall, and already had a black jacket, boots, and pants. No gloves, though.)
This year, I'm just going to go to class and take a quiz. I hope to be able to decompress afterwards, but I'll probably do some work instead so I don't get behind.
Halloween is one of those days that unless I'm with the right people who are interested in doing stuff, I'll forget all about it.

LOL, that's a bummer. I gotta work that morning, but I made sure to have Saturday off for the after-Halloween bash recovery. Plus, all the mixing board equipment and speakers, subs, monitors, power-amps, and cables are my bands stuff, so we have to load all that crap up again on Sat to take it back to our practice space. I wish I could pay roadins to do that for me.

We had drum risers, light rigs and the guys had to carry all the heavy stuff (I hated those damn risers) but we did have a group of girl roadies that carried everything else for free. The band I was in had 3 guys for lead singers so, quite a few female groupies.

Tashi probably knows a bit of this, but in the Philippines Halloween is when everyone packs up for their hometowns and spends two days in the cemetary with their entire clan.
And well... fortunately I am not doing that this year. Most of our relatives went abroad already so the ones left here don't feel like going to the graves and honoring our ancestors. So instead I will play Fallout 3 all night long.

Starting a new tradition? :)
If I was in the Phils, we would've went to Montalban. I really wanted to go this year but it just wasn't in the budget. Hopefully we can make it next year and have a big Halloween bash.
Btw, it's like a picnic. It's not as macabre as it sounds. :P

It's not like that, Triggaz. it's more like honoring your dead. Us Mexicans have that same kind of deal, only it's not on Halloween(Nov 1-2), and ours is called Dia de los Muertos, which means Day of the Dead. Technically, it's two different celebrations, Nov 1st for children(Dia de los Inocentes), and Nov 2nd for adults(Dia de los Muertos). People dress up and visit the graves of ancestors, and they prep and eat the favorite foods of their lost loved ones, and tell stories, have parades, and have a good time in their honor. good stuff. i've only been to a few of those types of celebrations, me not being very traditional, but it was an interesting experience, really surreal.
