Man, what suckage.
Great game play, great graphics too. A seriously enhanced update of the classic JRPG.
Things were going great. But today, after a particularly tough and lengthy boss battle (boss battles are way more difficult than in the GBA version), I encountered a bug that completely locked up my DS. A first for me. I've had PSP games lock up, but never a DS game.
No spoilers, but I took Cecil back to a save point that was in a cave to do a Tent and a Save, and as soon as I positioned him on the save spot, the DS froze solid. No choice but to power down.
So, I did some research, and it seems that the JP version was buggy as hell, and even had game stoppers. I could find no references to bugs in the US version (yet), but there sure as shyt is at least one.
I'm only about 14 hours in, and that's with lots of backtracking/leveling. So I am a bit worried.
So, FF fans, I cannot recommend this title.
Thanks Square and Nintendo, your QA is truly stellar.
