Who's getting it, and for what system?

I'm getting it. The demo was pretty limited, concentrating more on the IQ stuff and the wimpy Giants and their "moment" than a 4 quarter playable demo. At least the 1:14 worth of the "moment" gave people a chance to see how the game would play. I'm going to get the PS3 version, and I want to use the rosters from the graduating/leaving early players of NCAA 09 in Madden, something I have never done.

You know, before Brett #@$%'s shenanigans I was actually thinking about getting the game. (It would have been my first Madden purchase in 15 years.) And I mainly wanted it because he was on the cover. Actually, that's the only reason I wanted it; I really wouldn't have played it. But now I fracking hate him, and I'm like, 'No ah ah' on the game.

I will get it, but i don't know how soon. Also, PS3 version.

Does the PS3 version still run at half the FPS?

I'm getting the PS3 version and no Cuddly it doesn't run at half the speed. Thank goodness for that. It's identical to the 360 version.

I guess there will be a roster update real soon. I wonder what the offline gamers will be able to do about the possible update.

I fvcking posted in this Thread I know I did.

Anyway I'm getting Madden on 360. I play in a work league and it's held on 360's. Besides I prefer the controller. The analogue sticks on the 360 controller are infinitely better for Madden imo.

Yeah but the shoulder buttons on the PS3 controller are better vs. the bumpers on the 360 controller and in Madden I use those buttons frequently.

Really, Five? you like the pseudo-triggers better? I personally would prefer the old pressure-sensitive Dual SHock 2 buttons over the SIXAXIS, and even over the triggers from the 360 controller or S. Great for rhythm games, but that wouldn't matter now that Guitar Hero and Rock Band have destroyed any kind of rhythm games that use regular controller methods. Like Amplitude/Frequency, Parrappa, Guitaroo Man, and Space Channel Five.

The triggers and bumpers aren't a issue with me. But that loose a$$ analogue sticks on the PS3 still bug the hell out of me.

Well I can't wait till Friday I'm picking the game up after work.

The different controllers used to be a problem, but I can play Madden/NCAA with either the PS3 or 360 controller. Last gen, I preferred the PS2 controller, but preferred to play football games on the Xbox. The only reason the black and white buttons didn't bother me with Xbox controllers were because they usually controlled the option pitches on NCAA Football, and I don't run an option-style offense.

There's one controller in this gen that I would not want to play a football game with.

What!? You're crazy. The bumpers on the 360 controller are the greatest thing EVAR!

Man I made a big post in the PS3 general game topic. I'll be playing Madden on the 360 since my cousin owns it, but I won't be buying it so I won't have it for PS3 unless a roommate of mine gets ancy, but they're not much of football fans.

Having put considerable time since 98 into football games and all of it on a playstation controller I find switching from 360 to PS controller is easy. It's almost the same for me. I whoop people's ass on both systems, moreso on the 360 actually. If anyone wants to run Madden game on the 360 my cousins Live name is "cappin". I'm down to school a couple of you guys with my raiders. I've played at least 10 Madden games since it came out and I'm undefeated with my Raiders.

I posted the same thing in PS3 General Discussions:

NCAA Football 09 > Madden NFL 09

i saw that, and was gonna post a q there, but then I saw this and that's that.

My Q is; one of my friends said that in NCAA09 you can play as high-school teams. Is that true? If not, how deep are the college teams? Can i play as WNMU from here in Silver City?

The high school mode which I'm assuming is the same as in 08, is when you make a campus legend. In this mode you control only the player you create, so if you make a cornerback you'll only be playing defense and be out of 50 % of those plays as the ball doesn't come to your side. Anyways this mode starts off with you in your high school playoffs. In NCAA 08 the options for uniforms colors and such were really limited, but you basically name your high school and the state it's in then the game comes up with a 16 team play off with the names of major cities or towns in that state as the other teams. There aren't actually any official high schools in the game though.

I've never played Campus Legend in NCAA or Superstar Mode in Madden.

I know New Mexico State and New Mexico are both in the game, in their respective conferences. I'm not sure about WNMU. Is that Western New Mexico?

Yeah. I doubt they would be in the game, since they are low on the totem pole when talking ability and size. NMSU and UNM also include their stadiums?

Rogue Bounty Hunter

I'm not sure if EA did their stadiums, or just has a generic stadium that is used for their stadium, along with a lot of other teams.

Cuddly Knife

Jerks. They should include a create-a-stadium. I don't think it would be that difficult. A bunch of standard stadium parts in a variety of colors, a simple emblem-style editor to get your teams image around the stadium, and other knick-knacks like in/outdoor options, different scoreboards, grass options, and all that kind of crap. I would buy the first game to incorporate that.

I remember there being a create a stadium in Madden 04, within the Owner's Mode. I made a new stadium, and it took an entire season before I could play in it. Unfortunately, I lost interest in the game before I played there.

If EA brings the create a stadium back as a stand alone feature in the game, that would be cool. If they had it associated with ticket prices, food prices, parking prices, and the rest of that lame owner's mode crap, then I'd rather not have it at all.

Controlling throwing RAGE! I thought EA had got over it but oh no the EA screw is in full effect. I playing the 49ers I'm up 21 nothing Then Alex Smith becomes god I can't stop anything and lose 28 21 but I have over 200 yards rushing. Next I'm playing the Steelers I'm up 14 nothing and am dominating when Willi Parker breaks 2 runs both over 60 yards and I lose. Not only that final play of the game I'm down 14 17 I know kick the field goal. But I'm on there 2 yard line. Now they blitz okay but there blitz all flows to the left I call a pitch to the right. 4 defender (after reviewing through instant replay) Piroquet(sp?) like there on Ice skates and dive 5 yards diagonally to make the stop. Controller flies in a fit of rage.

Seems harder than the last couple years and I feel like I'm basically re-learning how to play Madden. This might also relate to me not playing much of 07 & 08.

I finally can get some passes completed and can find a few running holes. Defense is still challenging for me but I'm going to continue to practice in hopes it comes around.

I'm playing on the All Pro difficulty level.

Not getting it. I got last years game and I played it maybe 5 times. I am just done with the franchise as a whole because some how the fun factor isn't there for me like other games like Call of Duty 4.
