sorry if i shouldnt post this here i wasnt sure where to post a question like this but here it goes. So i want to build my own gaming pc because it interests me and it would be so much cheaper to do so. I was thinking of buying a bare bone comp and upgrading from there but because of where i live i might not be able to find them and because i cant purchase off the internet right now i thought of checking some bareback comps and buying the peices seperate and building it myself, because i could order the peices and not have to pay for them right away. So my question is what should i do and what peices should i buy im willing to spend maybe 800-1000 canadian dollars and be able to play games like company of heroes, world in conflict and stuff like that. How should i proceed to building my comp?

thx in advance:)

Pretty much any duo or quad core proccesor is a must.Graphics card 8800 GT or better.2 gigs of ram.Tower is up to you id really have to know if you even have a parts store by you and what all they offered before i could really help you.If you could order off the internet it would be easier and cheaper

sli and crossfire ready just means you can add more then one graphics card which to me is overkill and your not getting much performance for a 2nd card. That does seem like a really reasonable deal for that barebones setup.Im going to wait a year or so then upgrade to a quad core i dont see the need for one right now.My duo core will kill any quad in gaming since games dont utilize 4 cores yet and my dual is a 3.0 gigaherts compared to the 6600 Q which runs at 2.4 gigaherts.thats a good rig and will deffinetly play everything nicely but considering u can get a duo core e8400 for about 80$ cheaper then the Q6600 quad plus play games faster i think its not a smart idea for a quad at this time.when we do need the quads lateron down the road were going to want 3 gigs or faster quads anyways and by that time they will be cheap. But i will say again that is a decent price for that setup and as far as graphics cards go the radeon 4850 price per performance is the best out there
