Which class should i be?
i'm probably intrested most in biotic powers and more stealthy sniper rifle stuff.
i don't want any of the barebone classes, to simple. sentinel is too defensive.
i'm intrested in infiltrator and vanguard. personally i'm leaning towards infiltrator because i really want to use a sniper rifle, and i'm intrested in hacking powers. if you've played infiltrator is it good sniping? what kinds of tech powers do you have? can you get shotguns with infiltrator? lol

I'm an infiltrator right now. They suck at sniping. At least until you reach level 10 or so. Tech powers? The only thing they do is blow up shields and overheat weapons. The class sucks frankly.

Soldier is probably better if you want to be a sniper.

Inflitrator if you want to snipe (and pretty much do nothing else but use crappy pistols) and have decent shields, weak armor, and the ability to hack into computers by yourself (not all that useful an ability)

I heard the Infiltrator class gets powerful and I can see why, but somehow I don't find the class as compelling as I thought it would be. Maybe I should just say that you don't really get to do much sniping in this game -- at least not in the Citadel, too CQB.

Later on though SNiping will probably be more satisfying.

I played Vanguard and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The combination of biotic powers and the pure undistilled awesomeness of the shotgun is insane. The shotty in this game is fantastic and sooooo satisfying. I give the Vanguard two thumbs way up.

Speaking of the Shotgun, you can get one as an infiltrator but you will suck at using it, so might as well go Vanguard.

The 360 version sort of gave you custom classes, in the form of in-game rewards for Achievements. If you got the Achievements for different weapons, biotics, or tech attacks, you could "train" subsequent characters with those skills. Get the sniper achievement, and your Adept can snipe; get the Singularity achievement, and your Soldier is the ultimate weapon in the universe. Does the PC version have anything like that? If not, my condolences. I'd rather use the game disc as a cutting board than go without a sniper.

Failing that, play a Soldier, and keep Tali and Liara in your squad. Singularity and AI Hacking will make you soil yourself with joy, but there's no difference between your biotics/tech and those of your squad mates.

I saw some thing that looked like achievements in the status window, I don't know if those allow for the thing you are describing; I really haven't looked into it. What are the requirements for the Sniper achievement? Let me know and I will try it out.

Sniper (also shotgun/assault rifle): 150 kills with weapon in question
Biotic or tech: 75 uses of a specific ability (throwing them into space counts)
