Guys 'n' Gals,

A month or so ago I tried to plug my USB flash pen (http://www.popvoucher.co.uk/cheap-kingston-4gb-hi-speed_lid-pmucmmcm.html) into my PC(xp)to send some data. The flash drive said it was being charged but the PC seems to have no linking that it's connected. I can't force it to pick it up when it can't see anything there at all. I've not been able to connect it to the PC since.

Can anyone suggest what might (not) be happening?

a. USB Pen Drive is broken -- I have a card reader and it lights up when I connect it but I can't do anything with it ever since I dropped it.

b. USB port is broken -- make sure to test other USB peripherals in that port

c. Windows driver is faulty -- make sure other USB Mass Storage devices can be read like external HDD, external DVD Drive, Card Reader
