WolfQuest

The Minnesota Zoo and eduweb have just released WolfQuest Amethyst Mountain Deluxe, a wildlife simulation computer game about the life of a gray wolf in Yellowstone National Park. This free download is the first video game to be funded by the National Science Foundation. While one of our goals is to remain scientifically accurate, the game uses exciting gameplay to inform the players about the life of wolves.
In the single player version of the game, players will take on the role of a wolf having just left its natal pack in search of a mate. The mission is complete when the player successfully finds a mate. In the multiplayer version, players form a pack of up to 5 members to explore Yellowstone National Park in search of elk. Coyotes, Snowshoe hares, and Grizzly bears are also found in the game.
Since releasing a limited version of the game in late December 2007, the game has been downloaded over 160,000 times. Over 50% of the downloads are by 10-19 years olds. We would be delighted if you would be willing to review or feature our game on your web site. If you have further questions, feel free to contact me.
