Hey, guys I got a new laptop just thought I'd post the specs.

amd turion 64 processor (1.9 GHz)
ati radeon xpress 1250 video
2GB ram

You guys probably have much better systems but here's what I am coming from.

P3 (1GHz)
ati video card (don't remember model but it's like 4 years old)
384 MB ram

Ha ha so now I'm not stuck playing games at least 3 years old. The main bottleneck was windows ME. I know it hasn't been supported in a while but it wasn't until just lately that I was really having problems with software not working on it. I got vista now.

Vista on a laptop, you may still be stuck playing games at least three years old. But at least the three year old games will run smoother now. :D

Sad to say you'll still be playing 3 year old games on that rig. There's just not enough horsepower there to do much more. You certainly won't be playing Gears of War or Crysis with any semblance of decency.

Let's not kid anyone here the bottleneck wasn't Windows ME, it's the rest of your old system. On your new laptop, a Radeon Xpress 1250 will have fits trying to run even just Battlefield 2, which is a 2 year old game. A 3-4 year-old game like Half Life 2 will be playable but newer games are not exactly going to fly.

yea that videocard will most likely be the bane of your concerns as everyone else previously stated. I still can't believe you were running a system with 384 mb of ram.
