Until the end of the game to find some resolution with Tidus. If you've seen FFX International, there may be a reunion of sorts. Guess we'll have to wait and find out.
I myself am growing a little weary of the FF series, but I know I'll still pick this one up regardless.....

Another story doesn't really tell you that much. Bascially, Rikku shows up one day and gives Yuna a sphere. They watch the sphere and discover that Tidus is trapped in a cell and calling out for help. So, they all decide to become shpere hunters and find more clue about how to save Tidus. The whole thing is not even 20 mins. A waste of time really.
As far as FFX-2 goes though, I like it. The battle system and the side quests are interesting. I love how players can change jobs again.

The job thing is interesting in that, any character can gain any other characters abilities at any time, even in the middle of a fight... although, they all don't have the same attacks. You have to wear the outfit to outlock the stronger attacks. So say Yuna wears the gunner outfit and unlocks 5 new attacks. The other 2 girls can be gunners too, but they won't have those same attacks, unless they level up while wearing it. It adds a tremendous amount of innovation and strategy to an otherwise old battle formula and the bosses are a pretty good challenge. You can only wear 2 accessories which I don't like
The battle system moves so fast, it's crazy. It's almost real time. In fact aside from the pause so your meters can fill between attacks, it is real time. And there's a combo system that's worth it to master to make the fights easier. But the challenge in chaining combos is the battle system goes so fast.
There's A LOT of characters from the first game. Some you'll remember and some you won't if you played it, but they're all NPCs. And there's few new areas so far. Most are recycled from FFX. But that's ok the nostalgia is nice.
The sidequests are pretty cool. Like the ticket selling. I liked that one. Too bad it wasn't a little longer.
If you think you're weary now wait til you play the chocobo game. >:)
You will find new found hatred for chocobos.

OH yea, I hated the chocobo racing in FFX so damn much. That game is just "broken". I mean, mini game is supposed to be fun. I didn't find the chocobo racing or catching the butterfly fun at all. It was more like torture to me. What were they thinking?

I used to love the friendly little chocobos, little did I know they were the feathered steeds of SATAN! I mean in IX there was the fantastic chocobo scavenger hunt (well...fantastic music anyway), and then X comes along with the )*&)$*(&)*$(&% racing mini-game. You mean to tell me I'll find yet ANOTHER reason to hate chocobos in X-2?!

YES!!
I dunno though... you might like it. But as the mini game got longer and longer I sure didn't like it by the end, cause there's a FMV at the end that led to a boss fight, so I don't know if how the chocobo mini game ends is scripted, or not. But I will say it's not as torturous as 9 and 10.

Looks like a Final Fantasy game, sounds like one,but can anyone say that FF X-2 is in FF X's league? I say hell no it isnt. There is nothing wrong with change, but too much change is never good either.
Its like this if it aint broke, then dont fix it.Thats about all I have to say about FF X-2.(give me FF X anyday over Final Fantasy X-2:Full Throttle starring Yuna & the pussie-cats)

Have you even played FFX-2? Heck, you probably didn't play FFX either. FFX-2 probably doesn't have a story that is as deep as FFX, but that is ok. FFX-2 is more lighthearted and faster paced. I enjoyed them both equally. The return of job system adds a lot of excitment to the battles and percentage of story completion gives more replay value to the game.
I am sorry to see you yet hating on another PS2 game (Duh?!), but I enjoy this title and the new direction FF series has taken.
