I've run out of games to play, sure I haven't beaten most of them... but I'm stuck in almost all of them and I think I need to start something new to get my mind off of the games. I thought getting a new game would be rather effective

My favorite PS2 games include but not limited to Amplitude/Frequency, Guitar Hero, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, DMC series, Metal Gear SOlid series, God of War series, Silent Hill series, Maximo, and about 100 more that I can't remember. Seriously, there are so many PS2 games that I can't keep up still.

There are way too many good PS2 games, I can't believe anyone could ever run out of stuff to play on the PS2. The only reason I'm not playing my PS2 anymore is because I have jumped on the next-gen wagon, but if I hadn't I'd still be busy going at it with any of the 100+ great PS2 games I still haven't touched.

Even today Persona 3 FES just came out, which I am playing since it's a must-play game for me. The PS2 has that many great games.

To me, Culdcept is the very best Ps2 game, but that is a highly personal choice and the game is not for everyone.

As far as general consensus reality, the biggies are the Final Fantasy games, the Metal Gear Solid games, the Grand Theft Auto games, Guitar Hero, Gran Turismo 3 & 4, The Ratchet and Clank Series, and the Jak and Daxter games. The Devil May Cry series. Jesus. . . there are so many big hit series that you could fill up years just with those, without even touching the second tier games and multiplats like Destroy All Humans and Bully (don't know why THAT came to mind. . . must have watched too much Fox News this week!)

I liked Katamari Damacy and Amplitude a lot, but if me and one or two other persons were trapped on a deserted island (with electrictity and a TV, illogically) and could have brought only one game, THE game, of all games in the history of video games I would spend the rest of my coconut-and-crab-eating life playing would be Culdcept on Ps2.

Even today Persona 3 FES just came out, which I am playing since it's a must-play game for me. The PS2 has that many great games.

You and others (including an ex-coworker) have jabbered endlessly about this game so I bought the $29 FES that released last week. Havent' even taken off the shrink wrap. . . as you can see below, I'm already up to my elbows in other games, but I'm gonna give this a try;

I think the last JRPG I gave a shot was Steambot Chronicles, and before that Xenosaga. And before that Skies of Arcadia. Aside from the tactical strats, I just don't usually get into the genre, but the occasional title just looks like its at least worth dabbling around with, even if I know I'll likely never finish it. I don't really know much about Persona 3, other than its a game people have been talking non-stop about for so long that its got to be at least worth seeing what it is people are so caught up in. Whether I end up liking it or not its still interesting to see what it is other game fanatics are really into.
